HURTING from the intrigues he is involved in, controversial celebrity Andrew Wolff decided to leave the country for a respite from pursuing his showbiz career.

Andrew took a flight to Los Angeles on October 10 to “clear my head” after having been dragged into controversy after controversy, which he said had taken its toll on him.

“Sunud-sunod na intriga, e. Medyo nasasaktan na ako dito sa Pilipinas. You know, the issue na ipinapalabas sa TV, so I decided na pahinga muna. I need to clear my head. Feeling ko naman binabastos lang ako ng todo-todo ng intriga, e. Tapos napapaniwala yung tao na si Andrew Wolfe nambugbog, ganun,” Andrew said in an interview with GMA-7 showbiz talk show Startalk last October 14.

According to him, it was his manager Douglas Quijano who advised him to take a break from showbiz. “Sabi ni Tito Dougs, ‘Pahinga ka muna, pag-isipan mo kung anong gusto mong gawin.’ So, ito na ang pagkakataon para mag-relax, mag-isip.”

Andrew had been on showbiz news headlines after a tiff with actor/director Cesar Montano over his alleged unsportsmanlike behavior in a celebrity boxing match with the latter's brother, Rommel. He was also in the news for supposedly ganging up on Alvin Aragon, a member of the first batch of contestants in the GMA-7 talent search Starstruck. Previously, former girlfriend and Viva Hot Babe Gwen Garci accused Andrew of physical abuse.

Andrew said he wanted to be known for his talent and not the issues thrown at him. He further said, “Yung gusto ko kapag may nakakita sa akin: ‘Ay, may talent yan. Mabait yan.’

However, Andrew admitted that he may also have some faults on the issues he’s getting himself into. “Biktima lang ako. Hindi naman [ako] anghel. Siyempre hindi ako nagmamalinis, may mga kasalanan din ako.”

Meanwhile, Andrew left a message for Gwen: “Sana mag-move on ka na. Hindi na kita mahal. Okay. Sana maging friends tayo pagbalik. Halimbawa, [bumalik] ako, maging friends tayo ulit.”

Gwen, on the other hand, said in a telephone interview aired live on the same show that he really needed that break. “Kailangan nya po talaga iyon. Kailangan niya pong ipakita sa tao na talagang nagbago na siya.”

She also wanted Andrew to know that she has moved on. “Simula po nang hiwalayan ko siya nakapag-move on na po ako. Nung hiniwalayan ko po siya, marami na pong pumapasok sa aking magandang projects at maganda po ang lovelife ko ngayon.”
