Boasting of an all-star cast and multiple locations ang pinakabagong adventure-drama series ng GMA-7, ang Asian Treasure.
The show that will formally introduce Robin Padilla sa Kapuso network will start production early next week. To be directed solely by Eric Quizon, Asian Treasure is about a mythical treasure na hahanapin ng anim na bida. The six main stars will be Robin, Angel Locsin, Marvin Agustin, Diana Zubiri, Marky Cielo, and Glaiza de Castro.
Three pairs ito although magsisimula ang kuwento with Angel and Marvin bago mapunta si Angel kay Robin at si Marvin naman kay Diana. This will also fature the love team of StarStruck Ultimate Idol Marky and Glaiza, who just transferred from the Kapamilya station. Una silang nagtambal sa ongoing show na Fantastikids. It will be interesting to note din na kahit sina Angel and Glaiza have always been described as look-alikes, hindi sila magiging magkapatid dito at bagkus, si Robin ang magiging kapatid ni Glaiza.
With six big stars in the top billing, napakarami pang malalaking pangalan na makakasama sa bagong series, starting with Eddie Garcia. Makakasama rin nila rito sina Ronaldo Valdez, Ella V, Cristine Reyes, Ms. Caridad Sanchez, at sina Jenny Miller and Gio Alvarez—na pareho nang lumipat sa GMA-7. More stars are expected to join the soap as taping progresses.
Initially, sa Pilipinas muna mag-ta-tape ang Asian Treasure starting with several Metro Manila locations bago mag-out of town to Benguet and Palawan. Tapos, tutungo na ito sa Thailand and China for more locations. Plano rin nilang mag-taping sa iba pang Asian countries, particularly sa Cambodia, kung saan nakapag-location hunting na rin ang production staff earlier this year.
Ang Asian Treasure ay inaasahan na mapalabas early next year sa GMA-7.
