Sarah Geronimo to star in 'Dear Heart'

Good news sa mga fans ng young singer-actress na si Sarah Geronimo: Tuloy na tuloy na ang first solo movie ni Sarah, ang Dear Heart, na gagawin niya sa kanyang mother studio na Viva Films. Mismong ang Viva Films big boss na si Vic del Rosario ang nag-announce nito noong isang araw.
Pasalubong daw ito ni Boss Vic kay Sarah na kababalik lang kahapon mula sa Amerika kunsaan siya nag-concert at kumanta ng Pambansang Awit ng Pilipinas sa laban nina Manny Pacquiao at Eric Morales—na pinagwagian muli ng Filipino boxer.
Matagal nang hinihintay ng mga fans ni Sarah ang pelikulang ito pagkatapos ng kanyang matagumpay na teleserye na Bituing Walang Ningning sa ABS-CBN.
Ayon sa isang taga-Viva Films, hindi raw remake ng Dear Heart ni Sharon Cuneta ang movie na gagawin ni Sarah. Inspired lang daw ito ng original story at ibabagay ng scriptwriter na si Mel del Rosario ang story sa generation ngayon.
As of press time, sina Eddie Garcia at Christopher de Leon pa lang ang sure na makakasama ni Sarah sa pelikula. Si Eddie, na gumanap na ama ni Sharon sa Dear Heart, ang magiging lolo ni Sarah samantalang si Boyet naman ang gaganap na ama niya.
Gusto sana ni Boss Vic na si John Lloyd Cruz ang makatambal ni Sarah, pero hindi pa raw ito sigurado dahil baka hindi pumayag ang Star Cinema at ABS-CBN kung saan nakakontrata ang young actor. Kung hindi raw puwede si John Lloyd, may iba pa naman silang pinagpipilian—isa na rito ang katambal ni Sarah sa Bituing Walang Ningning na si Carlo Aquino na contract artist na ng Viva Entertainment.
