Ang magandang work attitude ni Rachelle Ann Go ang unang nagustuhan ng record producer na si Christian de Walden kaya naisipan nitong ipag-produce ang young singer ng full album na magkakaroon ng international release.

Ang album na Obsession ang ikatlong album ni Rachelle Ann para sa Viva Records at ima-market ito via the company's L.A. label na Viva West. Nag-eksperimento sina Rachelle Ann at Christian—the record producer, not her boyfriend—sa panibagong sound sa bagong album nito. All 13 cuts of the album are originally written by songwriters from Europe, United States, and the Philippines.

"Una kaming nagkatrabaho ni Mr. De Walden sa second album ko na I Care. Mga ilang songs lang ‘yon at sinabi nga niya na nagustuhan niya ang nakita niyang energy ko sa pag-record ng songs," masayang kuwento ni Rachelle. "Na-feel daw niya ang determination ko sa trabaho kaya he decided to produce this new album, na ikinatuwa ko talaga." 

Tungkol sa album, sabi ni Rachelle, "Gusto ko ang bagong sound ng album kasi mixture siya ng Latin and Euro dance tracks and ballads. Nahirapan ako sa recording, pero heto na ang album at proud na proud ako."

Ang carrier single ng Obsession album ni Rachelle Ann ay ang "Don't Say Goodbye." Other cuts include "And Me and You," "Alam Ng Ating Mga Puso," "This Must Be Love," "Come One Day," "I Will Always Love You Anyway," "Walk Into My Life," "My Forever Love," "I'm Sure," "You Are My Obsession," "Something In The Air," and "Iyong-Iyo."

Magkakaroon ng mall tour si Rachelle Ann Go to promote her album. Magsisimula ito on February 18 sa SM Clark. Othe mall tour dates are on February 24 sa SM Lipa, February 25 sa SM Dasmariñas, March 3 sa SM Molino, March 4 sa SM Batangas, March 10 sa SM Lucena, and March 17 sa SM Baguio.
