John Estrada clarifies story about Bong-Borgy tiff

Talk is hot about the recent "rumble" at Embassy Cuisine. In the red corner is former basketball player Bong Alvarez. In the blue corner is model/host/Marcos heir, Borgy Manotoc. The two manly men reportedly almost came to blows over model Ornussa Cadness, Borgy's girlfriend.

Unlike the previous brawl between Jay-R and Borgy that also happened in Embassy, this time it wasn't about men checking out Ornussa. It was more like a man asking the check from Ornussa!

Bong apparently mistook the model for a waitress.

John Estrada, a patron of the establishment, was minding his business when the hullabaloo happened.

"I was with Ogie Alcasid. Dumating si Bong noon with a group. So anyway, nakita nga namin na biglang napasigaw si Ornussa, tapos ‘yong grupo ni Borgy papunta na kay Bong. Sabi ko, ‘Anong nangyari?' Sabi ni Bong sa akin na honest mistake. Akala niya talaga waitress," narrates the actor in an interview with PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at the press con of Maria Flordeluna.

John couldn't help but giggle, "Nakakatawa nga ‘yon. Kinausap ko na lang si Borgy. Sabi nga namin ‘Sorry na napagkamalan si Ornussa...'"

In the end, there was no "rumble"—not even close to one.

MYLENE AND BING. Reports say that Mylene Dizon and Bing Loyzaga were also in the restaurant when the fight happened. Like almost all the women seen with the very much single John, Mylene is being named as one of the girls the actor is dating.

John explains, "Well, nagtawagan lang kami ni Ogie. Small group ‘yon e, Happy Mondays ang tawag. We rarely go out but kasi maganda ‘yong crowd ng Happy Mondays na ‘yon. We chose to go out that night and to have a good time. It just so happens na nandoon sina Mylene.

"We really bumped into each other. It's not the first time. We always see each other. And that's about it. And of course, kilala ko naman kasi siya. Hindi ko naman sinasabi na hindi ko siya kilala. Actually, we're friends. Even Paolo and I, we're friends. We're in one circle."
