Simula na naman ng awards season dahil inilabas na ng Entertainment Press Society, Inc. (ENPRESS) ang official list of nominees para sa 4th Golden Screen Awards. The awards night, to be produced by Eight Elephants Productions, will be held on March 17.

Ang independent/digital film na Batad sa Daang Palay ang nakakuha ng pinakamaraming nominations with a total of 11. Pareho namang nakakuha ng eight nominations ang Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo at Kaleldo. The three films are all nominated in the Best Motion Picture categories.

Bilang patunay na buhay na buhay ang industriya ng independent/digital films noong nakaraang taon, anim ang nominated for Best Motion Picture -Independent/Digital, samantalang lima sa Musical or Comedy category at dalawa lamang sa Drama category.

Samantala, among the performers, tatlong nominations ang nakuha ng aktres na si Cherry Pie Picache. Nominated siya as Best Actress in Drama for Kaleldo, Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for Manay Po, at Best Supporting Actress for Twilight Dancers.

Double nominee naman ang veteran actress na si Gina Pareño. Nominated siya as Best Actress in Drama for Kubrador at Best Supporting Actress for Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo.

Interestingly, magkalaban for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy ang boyfriend ni Judy Ann Santos na si Ryan Agoncillo at ang loveteam ni Juday na si Piolo Pascual. Si Ryan ay nominated for Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo while Piolo is nominated for Don't Give Up On Us. Both films also starred Juday, who herself is nominated for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo.
