On the afternoon of February 22, Thursday, PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) received information that Kris Aquino was brought to the Makati Medical Center because of "complications due to pregnancy."
Kris is seven months pregnant with her second child and her first baby with husband James Yap, a Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) cager. Her first child, Joshua, was fathered by Phillip Salvador, an actor.
JAMES JUNIOR. "James was at his [basketball] practice, and then noong umuwi dito, nakita niya na masamang-masama ang kondisyon ko. Nahihirapan siyang gisingin ako, and dinala na ako sa ospital," said Kris in a tell-all interview with Korina Sanchez for The Buzz and Rated K yesterday, February 25.
She explained, "‘Yong blood sugar ko, sumobrang nag-shoot-up. Sobrang tumaas talaga and that is very dangerous to anybody pregnant. Nagkaroon na ako ng premature labor pains.
"I'm entering my 28th week pa lang, and nung nag-ultrasound kami, the baby is less that two pounds at this point. Payat daw ‘yong baby. Hindi sa inaasahang timbang. So, ang sinasabi nila is dangerous talaga kasi hindi mo alam kung ngayon, kung manganak ako, kung mabubuhay ba ‘yong bata o hindi."
Kris and James plan to name their firstborn James Yap, Jr.
"For the remainder of my pregnancy, for the next nine or ten weeks, closely monitored talaga. Hindi ako magtatapang-tapangan na okay ako, kasi hindi naman talaga ako okay," she remarked.
EMOTIONAL STRESS. The TV host-actress explained that the recent issues surrounding her and her husband have triggered her emotional stress, which she said, also caused her premature labor pains.
Kris revealed, "Kasi hindi naman po isang linggo o dalawang linggo lang ito, e. It's been a month."

"Hindi kaila sa mga tao kung ano pinagdaanan namin in the past few weeks, lalung-lalo na this week. Very few people knew what we were really going through, ‘yong dalawang Ate ko, Ballsy and Pinky; ang manager ko, si Deo Endrinal; a few of my closest friends. For almost everybody else, shielded sila," said Kris.
She continued, "Noong sinamahan namin si Noy sa Commission on Elections (Comelec), problemado na kami noon, pero it was a commitment. It was a commitment to my brother. And at that point, even noong nag-birthday ako sa The Buzz, hindi alam ng Mom ko kung ano ‘yong problemang pinagdadaanan namin." Kris's brother, Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino, Jr. is running for senator this coming elections.
"We tried to put up a brave front. Alam mo ‘yon, na 'pag haharap ka sa camera, 'pag haharap ka sa publiko, hindi mo ipapahalata kung ano ‘yong dinadala mo. Pero siyempre, 'pag kami na lang dalawa dito sa bahay, sobrang hirap. I tried to be strong and to feel strong, but noong Thursday, bumigay na ako," Kris admitted.
A MESSAGE TO HOPE. In Hope's Startalk interview that aired last Saturday, February 24, Hope asked Kris for forgiveness, saying that she didn't mean to hurt Kris. Hope defended herself by saying that she simply fell in love and that she never planned to destroy Kris's family. "Wag n'yo akong husgahan," she said.
