Without a doubt, one of the most controversial issues that happened in the world of show business is the alleged affair of basketball superstar James Yap, husband of TV host-actress Kris Aquino, with receptionist Hope Centeno.

Tapos na nga ba ang controversial issue na kinasasangkutan nina Kris Aquino, James Yap, at Hope Centeno? Sa ngayon kasi ay tila tahimik na ang magkabilang kampo at wala na ring nababalita tungkol kay Hope na nag-claim na nakarelasyon niya diumano ang asawa ni Kris.
Nag-maternity leave na si Kris from her two current shows sa ABS-CBN na Pilipinas Game KNB? at The Buzz. Si Edu Manzano ang pumalit kay Kris sa kaniyang daily noontime game show at si Ruffa Gutierrez-Bektas naman ang kapalit muna for five weeks sa Sunday showbiz talk show ni Kris.
Nakatakdang manganak si Kris a week before the May 14 national elections.
Pagkatapos maglabas ng sariling statement ang Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) MVP of 2006, nag-concentrate muli si James in the field he is best known for—playing basketball.
Nawala na rin ang commercial ni James for a food product kung saan dalawa palagi ang binibili niyang pasalubong.
Hindi na muling nagsalita or nagpa-interview si Hope after her two weeks of exposure sa dalawang showbiz talk show ng GMA-7, ang Startalk at S-Files.
Ngayon, balitang isinama na si Hope ng kaniyang magulang pabalik sa Abra. May balita ring nag-resign na ang kaniyang ina sa trabaho ngunit unconfirmed pa ito.
Nakarating kasi sa mga magulang ni Hope ang banta ni James na idedemanda ang kanilang anak kaya dali-dali silang lumuwas ng Maynila para sunduin ito at iuwi na sa kanilang probinsya. Alam ng mga magulang ni Hope na hindi basta-basta ang mga taong binangga ng kanilang anak kaya nag-aalala sila para sa kaligtasan nito.
Pero kahit nasa malayong lugar na, ayaw pa rin daw tantanan si Hope ng tawag mula sa mga reporters na gustong makakuha ng latest mula sa kanya. Ngunit kabilin-bilinan daw ng ina ni Hope na huwag nang magbibigay ng anumang pahayag.
Pero how true na hindi pa raw dinadatnan ng monthly period niya itong si Hope kaya alalang-alala ang kanyang mga magulang na baka nga nagdadalantao ito courtesy daw ni James Yap?
Samantala, naubos na rin ang mga text at e-mail jokes about the three, with the last e-mail joke supposedly about James and Hope together in bed. Kapag binuksan ang file, it has a picture of James in his jersey and really in bed, but superimposed in front of his picture is a Hope cigarette pack.
