First discovered by the Tuesday Club—a social club composed of entertainment press headed by Cristy Fermin—sa Cowboy Grill, Rodel Nacienteno ang tunay na pangalan ng sexy actor na si Coco Martin. He was a college student then sa National College of Business Asministration (NCBA), and he later resurfaced as Coco Martin, a namesake of one of his new managers, Coco Simmo in tandem with Ihman Esturco.
Matagal bago nakagawa ng pangalan si Coco, who started but failed as a matinee idol. It was only when he decided to go daring sa internationally award-winning digital movie na Masahista (The Masseur) nang nakilala si Coco.
Nag-lie low muli si Coco although he has finished another movie, ang Siquijor. This time, back in circulation siya with a new manager and several new projects.
Nagsisimula na si Coco sa pelikulang Tirador na for international release din. Makakasama niya rito sina Jiro Manio (Magnifico) at Kristopher King (Ang Babae sa Breakwater) about the petty crimes and snatchers in the city.
May sisimulan pa rin isang pelikula si Coco, this time for the comebacking Celso Ad. Castillo, about overseas Filipino workers.
To further his craft, Coco is set to attend the Creative Futures intensive acting workshop to be facilitated by Peque Gallaga, Soxie Topacio, Rahyan Carlos, Bodjie Pascua, and Vangie Labalan.
Nais din ni Coco na magkaroon ng regular TV show.
