The Philippine National Police (PNP) earlier today assigned three bodyguards to escort controversial actress Ruffa Gutierrez and her two daughters, Lorin and Venice, at all times.

In a radio report relayed by DZBB a few minutes ago, the PNP Police Security Protection Office (PSPO) approved Gutierrez's written request for security personnel after she allegedly continues to receive grave threats from disgruntled ex-husband, Yilmaz Bektas.

PSPO head Chief Supt. Romeo Hilomen explained that they had thoroughly studied the formal request submitted by Gutierrez before approving the deployment of escorts.

The letter, according to Hilomen, passed the "threat assessment" qualifications of the PNP.

Hilomen, though, refused to give out the names of the three policemen assigned to protect Ruffa and her two daughters.

DZBB also stated in its report that Hilomen turned over the three PSPO personnel to Ruffa's mom, Annabelle Rama.
