StarStruck versus Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) for the cover of men's magazines this August.
Ang FHM August issue, na si Cristine Reyes ang cover, ay out in the market na. Early promotion ito para sa kanyang launching movie na Green Paradise. Nag-umpisa na shooting ng pelikula.
Nang makausap ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) noon si Cristine tungkolsa pag-iyak daw niya no'ng ibinalita sa kanya ng handler niya sa GMA Artist Center na kinukuha siya na cover girl for FHM—nilinaw niya na hindi naman daw iyak na ayaw niya ang nangyari.
"Kagigising ko lang po noon, as in kagigising ko lang. Nagising po ako sa tawag ng handler ko, sinasabi sa akin kung gusto ko raw mag-cover sa FHM. Naluha po ako kasi bukod sa hindi pa adjusted ang mata ko, ang unang call na matatanggap ko pagkagising ay offer na magpa-sexy sa isang magazine," paliwanag ni Cristine during her surprise appearance noon sa presscon na ibinigay ng Viva Artist Agency (VAA) for its talents. Nandoon kasi ang VAA talent na si Andrew Schimmer, ang partner ni Cristine sa Green Paradise.
Kasabay ng Cristine cover ng FHM ay dalawang PBB 2 housemates na sina Dionne Monsanto at Wendy Valdez for Uno and Maxim, respectively.
Marami ang nagulat nang napapayag si Dionne na mag-cover for Uno dahil kilala siyang conservative. Kuwento niya sa amin last week sa Dencio's kung saan ipinapakilala pakonti-konti ang mga PBB 2 housemates, dinulog niya pa raw ito sa mga madre ng kanyang school sa Cebu.
"Galing po kasi ako sa Catholic schools sa Cebu, both high school and college. Baka mabigla sila kapag nakita nila ako na cover ng Uno," sabi niya.
"In-explain ko po sa kanila na hindi naman po ganung ka-sexy ang pictorial ko, may class pa nga. Kilala naman po ang Uno magazine na nagpi-feature ng mga actresses not known for being sexy."
Dagdag ni Dionne, wala rin siyang balak magpa-sexy afterwards, pictorial lang naman daw ito.
Special naman ang ginawa ng Maxim for its August issue dahil first time nilang gagawing may three variations ang cover, na si Wendy ang nasa lahat.
Hindi pa raw ito nagawa ng Maxim Philippines, kay Wendy pa lang. In time for the promotion naman ito ng unang soap ni Wendy na Margarita, co-starring her boyfriend Bruce Quebral and Diether Ocampo.
