May lumabas na balita na binoo raw ng audience si Shaina Magdayao sa show nila ni Rayver Cruz sa Stockton at Anaheim sa California dahil sa safe na sagot ng young actress that "I love him as my friend" nang tanungin sa interview kung mahal ba niya ang ka-loveteam.
Ayon sa balita, marami raw ang na-offend kay Shaina lalo pa't nang si Rayver daw ang tanungin ng parehong katanungan ay walang pagdadalawang-isip na sinabi nitong mahal niya si Shaina. Ang pagbu-boo raw ang naging ganti tuloy ng mga nanonood na nakikisimpatiya sa young actor.
Nilinaw ni Shaina ang nasabing isyu nang makausap siya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) last Sunday, July 29, sa ASAP '07.
"Hindi naman boo na boo, but they [the audience] wanted to hear na mahal ko si Rayver as my special someone. It's not only our show, we were with other loveteams like Bea-John Lloyd, Kim-Gerald. Actually, magulo nga ‘yung interview namin kasi nagpa-punchline kaming tatlong loveteams. May mga side jokes kami and nagtatawanan naman sila. After the interview, may picture taking pa and okay naman ‘yung nangyari.
"To be honest, I'm not aware na may na-offend ba ako, pero I would be hurt kung may nag-boo talaga sa akin. But I'm happy with the shows. People called me Celine and ang tawag nila kay Rayver is Mitos because of Rounin," kuwento ni Shaina.
Sa ngayon ay unti-unti nang namamatay ang issue linking Shaina to John Prats. Ngunit may bali-balitang huminto na rin daw ng panliligaw sa kanya si Rayver at kung anuman ang nakikitang sweetness sa kanila ng kapareha ay for the sake of loveteam na lang.
"Tanungin ninyo si Rayver," sabi ni Shaina. "Tuloy pa rin ang panliligaw niya at gusto ko, he's very consistent. Siya naman ang sinasabi kong pinakamalapit sa puso ko, it's just that I'm taking my time.
"Like I've said, I'm not rushing things kasi nakakatakot masaktan. I'm not saying na sasaktan ako ni Rayver, but iba na rin ‘yung nag-iingat ka. Ako kasi, I'm enjoying na ganito, na wala munang commitment," paliwanag ng young actress.
Nang kumustahin namin kay Shaina si John at kung hindi ba naapektuhan ang friendship nila ng young actor, sinabi ni Shaina na hindi niya iniwasan si John dahil ayaw na niyang maulit ang nangyari before sa kanila ni Joross Gamboa.
"Walang nabago, we're still friends," diin niya. "Tulad ng sa amin ni Joross, na-realize ko, bakit ganun, bakit ko siya iniwasan? He's a good person. Ayokong mangyari na uli ‘yon kasi unfair dun sa tao."
