Nielsen Media Research recently conducted a survey among 500 males and females aged 12 years old and above on their favorite monthly magazines. Eight magazines from Summit Media made it in the Top 10.
FHM Philippines, the local edition of the fastest growing men's magazine in the United Kingdom, topped the survey, getting the nod of 27.8 percent of the respondents and proving that its broad readership encompasses both men and women.
Fearless females have something to rejoice about as Cosmopolitan Philippines rakes up a meaty 23.5 percent of the respondents, missing the No. 1 spot by only four percent. Cosmopolitan focuses on empowering women as it helps them in every aspect of their lives like career, fashion and beauty, and health.
Good Housekeeping, on the other hand, clinched the No. 3 spot with 17.3 percent. Topics on how to juggle responsibilities at home, like money matters, parenting, and nutrition know-how, show that majority of homemakers take home management seriously.
Meanwhile, YES!, the Philippines' No. 1 entertainment magazine, grabbed the fourth spot by virtue of its 14.2 percent approval from the respondents. People wanting to get a closer look at the exciting world of showbiz mostly choose YES! as their guide.
ABS-CBN Publishing's Metro grabbed the No. 5 spot with 13.8 percent.
Other Summit titles that made it to the Top 10 are Candy (No. 6), Men's Health (No. 7), T3 (No. 8), and Entrepreneur (No. 9).
