Tinawagan ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ang manager ni Sam Milby na si Erick Raymundo upang alamin ang reaksiyon ng matinee idol kaugnay ng isiniwalat ng talent manager at TV host na si Manay Lolit Solis na nakita niya si Sam, kasama si Piolo Pascual, sa Sofitel Hotel noong October 12, Friday, bandang alas-kuwatro ng hapon.
Ayon kay Lolit, nagbubulungan sina Sam at Piolo nang makita niya, pero bigla raw silang tumayo at umalis nang marinig na tawagin ng isang waiter ang pangalan ng talent manager.
Nauna nang nagbigay ng pahayag ang kampo ni Piolo sa kinaroroonan ng aktor noong oras na sinabi ni Manay Lolit na nakita niya ang dalawang matinee idols. Ayon sa namamahala ng Timex, nasa pictorial si Piolo para sa naturang watch company when the supposed incident happened.
Samantala, sinabi naman ni Erick na nasa isang salon si Sam at nagpapagupit noong mga sandaling ‘yon.
"Sam was at Essensuals Toni and Guy last Friday, 4 p.m. Then, [he] went to shooting at Alabang. The last time he went to Sofitel was August 26 for a corporate show. Definitely, it's not Sam," mariing sabi ni Erick.
Tandang-tanda pa ni Erick na it's been almost a year since gumimik si Sam kasama si Piolo.
"Pinag-usapan talaga namin na huwag muna siyang lalabas na kasama si Piolo, kahit na tuwing lumalabas sila, e, may mga iba naman silang kasama. Kasi kahit naman may mga kasama sila ni Piolo na iba, sila lang pa rin ang parating inuugnay.
"Simula nang mabigyan ng ibang kahulugan at mabalita yung paglabas-labas nila ni Piolo, we all both decided na huwag na muna silang gumimik para na rin makaiwas sa mga ganung isyu. Ngayon, nagkakasama na lang sila sa ASAP and concerts abroad," kuwento ni Erick.
As usual, nagulat daw si Sam at nag-isip kung nasaan siya nung time na sinasabing kasama niya si Piolo. Ito raw ang naging reaksiyon ng talent ni Erick nang makarating sa kanya ang balita.
"For sure itatanong ‘yan kay Sam sa launch ng bago niyang album sa Star Records. There, he will tell naman exactly how he felt about the issue," pahayag ni Erick.
Pagkaraan ng album launch ni Sam on Friday, October 19, aalis siya on Tuesday, October 23, patungong Canada, para sa show nila ni Piolo at Pokwang. Sa November 8 na ang balik nila ng Pilipinas.
