Hindi pa man nagte-taping si Ryza Cenon para sa Joaquin Bordado ng GMA-7, nagpapasalamat siya dahil muli na naman siyang nabigyan ng isang regular show after ng ilang buwan.
Ang huling regular show ni Ryza sa kanyang home network ay ang Fantastic Man kung saan katambal niya si Mark Herras. Sa Joaquin Bordado, pagbibidahan nina Robin Padilla at Iza Calzado, ay si Mark ulit ang katambal ni Ryza pero ka-love triangle nila dito si Iwa Moto.
Si Ryza ang kinuhang kapalit ni Jennylyn Mercado matapos mag-back out ng huli bago pa man ito magbuntis ng kanilang anak ni Patrick Garcia. Ayon sa lumabas na balita, pakiramdam daw kasi ni Jennylyn ay magiging second lead lang sila ni Mark sa naturang serye.
Pero para kay Ryza, wala raw issue sa kanya kung maging second choice siya sa role. Ang importante raw ay may trabaho siya.
"Sinabi naman sa akin na originally ay kay Jennylyn ang role ko sa Joaquin Bordado. Noong sinabi nga na mapupunta sa akin dahil nag-back out si Jennylyn, hindi na ako tumanggi kasi trabaho rin ‘yan. Matagal din akong nabakante, pero marami naman akong naging guestings," pahayag ni Ryza sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
Dati ay nagkaroon ng malaking issue sa pagitan nina Ryza at Jennylyn dahil kay Mark. Pero ayon kay Ryza, wala nang issue sa kanila ni Jennylyn. Matagal na raw naayos ang naging problema nila.
"Okay na po kami noon pa," nakangiting sabi ni Ryza. "Nagbatian na kami dati pa. Never naman akong nagalit kay Jennylyn, e. Ginawan lang kami ng hindi magandang issue. Pero tapos na ‘yon."
Ano ang naging reaksiyon ni Ryza nang malaman niyang buntis nga si Jennylyn?
"Noong una siyempre, nagulat kaming lahat. Kasi nga, seryoso si Jennylyn sa career niya. Kahit si Patrick [Garcia], parang mahalaga ang career sa kanya. Pero sa nangyari, siguro kagustuhan din nila. Kaya masaya na rin ako for them. Suwerte naman daw ang nabubuntis, di ba?" lahad niya.
Nabalitaan din daw ni Ryza na nag-split na si Mark at si Lian Paz ng EB Babes. Biro namin, baka may kinalaman siya sa paghihiwalay ng dalawa.
"Naku, wala po akong kinalaman!" ngisi ni Ryza. "Ilang beses na ba kaming na-link ni Mark? Napatunayan naman na wala ‘yon. Kami naman kasi ni Mark, para lang talaga kaming magbarkada. Hindi puwede ang ligawan sa amin. Kaya imposibleng ako yung cause ng hiwalayan nila."
