LJ Reyes dumps plan to pose for "FHM" magazine

LJ Reyes says goodbye to the possibility of being the next FHM cover girl from the line of the StarStruck girls.
After Katrina Halili, Iwa Moto, Cristine Reyes, and Jennylyn Mercado, si LJ ang nakahilera na susunod sa mga kasamahan niya sa reality-search show ng GMA-7 na magpi-pictorial for the number one men's magazine in the country.
Supposedly, si LJ sana ang nasa cover ng November 2007 issue ng FHM, ngunit malapit ito sa issue ni Cristine. Plinano na for January na lang si LJ, pero dahil sa U.S. siya nag-Christmas vacation with her mother, hindi ito natuloy. Now that she's back, final na ang naging decision niya na huwag na itong ituloy.
"Actually, ayoko naman na mag-FHM from the start," sabi ni LJ sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during the farewell presscon of Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan last Monday night, January 28, sa GMA-7 compound.
"Ang GMA Artist Center ang unang nag-suggest sa akin kung gusto ko raw, sabi ko pag-iisipan ko. In the end, sila na rin ang nagsabi na huwag na raw, wala naman daw akong laban kina Iwa at Katrina. Wala naman daw akong boobs!" natatawa niyang kuwento.
Dagdag niya, "September pa lang pinipilit na ako, sabi ko paghahandaan ko muna. Pero hindi ko talaga kaya. Kahit family ko, ayaw. Sabi ng tita ko, ‘Magkano ba ibabayad ng FHM sa iyo, ako na lang ang magbabayad para hindi mo na lang gawin."
Although busy with her career—may kasunod na siyang show sa GMA-7 after Zaido—hindi pa rin kinaliligtaan ni LJ ang kanyang pag-aaral sa College of Saint Benilde.
As to her love life, pahinga raw muna siya after her split with Alfred Vargas. Someone asked her kung hindi ba siya parang nagamit sa promotion ng pelikula ni Alfred na Banal dahil it was during that time na lumabas ang balita ng kanilang paghihiwalay.
"Hindi naman, nagkataon lang kasi na during that time talaga kami nag-split," sabi ni LJ. "Naglalabasan na ang balita, so sinagot lang ni Alfred. Wala naman po ako noong panahon na yun, nasa New York na ako."
Although happy na si LJ ngayon being single, curiously, ang dalawang lalaking naugnay sa kanya na sina Alfred at Mike Tan, kahit maganda ang naging breakup ay wala na silang communication. Balita kasing hindi na nagti-text either si Mike or si Alfred sa kanya.
"Ewan ko sa kanila!" natatawang sagot ni LJ. "Pareho pa rin naman ang number ko, baka sila ang nagpalit."
