TV Ratings (March 17-24): "Joaquin Bordado" and "Kamandag" take over primetime race

Now that the reign of Marimar is over, it is time for Robin Padilla and Richard Gutierrez to rule the primetime race.

 

Robin's Joaquin Bordado has taken the No. 1 position by consistently topping the ratings game since Marimar ended last March 14. Trailing closely behind at second place is Richard's Kamandag.

 

The primetime newscast of GMA-7, 24 Oras, is also consistent at No. 3.

 

The Kapuso network's newest soap, Babangon Ako't Dudurugin Kita featuring Dina Bonnevie, premiered last night (March 24) to a modest 28 percent—which is considerably lower compared to the pilot episodes of other GMA-7 primetime shows.

 

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN's Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus is generating  much buzz. The introduction of the 14 teen housemates last Sunday, March 23, posted a rating of 24.6 percent which ranked at No. 3. The following night, March 24, it came out strong against the other primetime shows; taking the No. 5 position with 26.3 percent.

 

The long-running noontime show Eat Bulaga! remains the No. 1 daytime program with Daisy Siete consistently following at No. 2.

 

The Japanese series Hana Kimi, which replaced Hana Yori Dango 2, also premiered yesterday at No. 3 with 16.7 percent; behind Eat Bulaga's 22.5 percent and Daisy Siete's new season with 19.4 percent.

 

Boxing champ Manny Pacquiao's welcome party on SiS drew 13.5 percent rating to grab the seventh position.

 

There was no regular programming from March 20 to 22 (Maundy Thursday to Black Saturday) in observance of the Holy Week.
