Nagulat si Piolo Pascual noong marinig niya ang pangalan ni Gabby Concepcion na isa sa mga pinagpipilian bilang isa sa dalawang bagong characters na ipapasok sa second season ng teleserye nila ni Angel Locsin na Lobo. Pero huling balita, hindi na raw matutuloy si Gabby na ipasok sa Lobo dahil mayroon itong bagong proyekto sa ABS-CBN.
Tinanong ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Piolo kung nanghinayang ba siya sa balitang ito?
"Napakaliit ng showbiz [para hindi magkasama sa mga darating na proyekto sa ABS-CBN]. I thought I could never work with Albert [Martinez]. Pero naka-love triangle ko siya sa Sa Piling Mo. Nakakatuwa, because these are actors you grew up watching. So, [it's] nice to watch them and see them again. You know, even to get the chance to work with them, magandang experience," pahayag ni Piolo nang dalawin siya ng PEP sa taping ng Lobo sa Boys Town, Marikina City.
DOING MOVIES. Bukod sa Lobo, hinahanda na ang susunod na pelikula ni Piolo sa Star Cinema. Ngayon pa lang sisimulan ang three-picture contract na pinirmahan ni Piolo sa Star Cinema last year dahil na rin sa sobrang kabisihan niya nung nakaraang taon.
"I'm supposed to do a movie with Angel, but I'm not sure because I signed up with Star [Cinema] for three pictures. So, I'm supposed to start anytime soon. I'm not sure lang kung alin [mga stories], sa rami ng ino-offer nila."
Tuloy rin ba yung plano niya na mag-shoot ng isa niyang movie sa ibang bansa?
"Yeah, yung Jerusalem po. It's a pilgrimage, kino-conceptualize pa rin. It's more of a family drama kaya baka wala akong leading lady doon. But there's one [movie] with Angel."
After that, nakalaan ang natitira niyang pelikula sa pinirmahan niyang kontrata with KC Concepcion. Tatapusin muna ni Piolo ang Lobo bago magsimula sa first movie project nila ni Angel to be directed by Rory Quintos.
Balita ring may bagong endorsement sina Piolo at Angel.
"Yes, kami ni Angel," kumpirma ni Piolo. "Hindi pa puwedeng sabihin... Gagawin namin yung commercial next month. She shot her first frames, I'm doing mine next. So, hopefully, lalabas siya next month.
"Pero nag-shoot kami ng commercial ng San Mig [Coffee] for Lobo last week, coming out next week. And then we shot our Timex ad a few weeks ago."
MEETING SOMEONE IN CHURCH. With his career doing very well, wala naman ba siyang wish na makatagpo ng babaeng kukumpleto't magpapasaya sa kanya?
"Sana soon," napangiti si Piolo. "Seriously, you know I was in prayer meeting yesterday and I saw someone and she's pretty. Sabi ko, ‘Wow!' She's from our church [Victory Christian Fellowship]."
In-introduce daw sila ng isang common friend nila sa kanilang church and from there, sinimulan nang kilalanin ni Piolo ang background ng babae.
"She's single. Wala siyang showbiz relatives. She's tall and her initials are A.L." Bigla niyang binawi yung huli niyang sinabi, yung initials. Binibiro na pala niya kami sa parteng yun dahil the "A.L." initials stand for Angel Locsin. Pero ayaw niya lang daw talaga ibigay ang buong identity ng babae since she's not from showbiz.
Dagdag pa ni Piolo, hindi nga raw maalis sa isip niya ang babaeng ito na ka-church niya't kakikilala niya lang kahapon.
"Hanggang pag-uwi ko, pagtulog...hanggang ngayon iniisip ko siya."
"Sabi ko dun sa common friend namin, hook us up for at least a dinner so we can get to know each other more. Hindi ko naman agad ipu-pursue na mag-court sa kanya right away. At least, get to know the person first, ‘di ba?"
Ito na kaya ang babaeng hinihintay niya? Ito na kaya ang babaeng papakasalan niya?
