Finally, nakakuha na ang GMA-7 ng dalawang makakatambal ni Regine Velasquez para sa Philippine adaptation ng Koreanovela na My Name is Kim Sam Soon. Napag-alaman ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) na sina Mark Anthony Fernandez at Wendell Ramos ang napili ng Kapuso network na makasama ni Regine sa naturang romantic-comedy series.
Sa pakikipag-usap ng PEP sa isang taong malapit kina Mark at Wendell, binigyan na kami ng go-signal na isulat ang mga makakapareha ni Regine sa Kim Sam Soon dahil sigurado na raw ito. Medyo natagalan sila sa pagpili ng makakasama ni Regine dahil sa story, 10 years younger sa kanya ang bidang lalaki, plus busy rin ang mga male talents ng GMA-7 sa iba't ibang shows.
Sa May 1 na raw ang simula ng taping ng Kim Sam Soon at ang mga direktor nito ay sina Dominic Zapata at Khryss Adalia.
Si Mark ang gaganap na Cyrus, young boss ni Kim Sam Soon sa patisserie na pinapasukan niya at mai-in love sa kanya. Si Wendell naman will play the role of the doctor, si Danny, na manliligaw rin kay Kim Sam Soon.
For her role, matagal nang nag-aaral ng pagluluto at baking cakes and pastries si Regine.
Tamang-tama ang schedule nila dahil tapos na ni Regine by that time ang taping ng kanyang birthday special na mapapanood sa Sunday, April 27, sa GMA-7. Si Mark ay matatapos na rin ang taping this week para sa Kamandag, na ang final episode ay ipalalabas sa April 25. Si Wendell naman ay once a week lang nagte-taping ng Tasya Fantasya, ang weekly fantasy series na pinagbibidahan ni Yasmien Kurdi.
Tiyak na magdo-double time sila sa taping dahil paalis si Regine sa third week of May para sa series of concerts niya sa iba't ibang bars and casinos sa Las Vegas. Sa first week of June na ang balik niya sa Pilipinas.
Kaugnay nito, malabo namang matuloy ang shooting ng Love is Deaf...and Blind nina Regine at Ogie Alcasid na co-production venture ng GMA Films at Viva Films. Naka-schedule din sana ito sa June.
Nakausap ng PEP si Veronique del Rosario-Corpus ng Viva Films sa presscon ng When Love Begins ng Star Cinema at Viva Films. Ayon sa kanya, nahihirapan daw silang mag-schedule dahil parehong busy ang magkasintahan.
Bukod sa abala raw sa taping si Regine ng kanyang birthday special, magsisimula na rin siyang mag-taping ng My Name is Kim Sam Soon at may shows pa siya sa Las Vegas sa last week of May.
Ganoon din naman si Ogie, na busy na rin sa pagte-taping ng kanyang bagong game show sa GMA-7, ang Da Big Show, at bilang isa sa mga judge ng Pinoy Idol. Once kasing natapos na ang pagpapakita ng mga auditions, live na sila twice a week.
Ang isa pang pinagkakaabalahan ni Ogie ay ang nalalapit niyang 20/20 concert, na magsisilbing celebration na rin ng kanyang 20th anniversary sa show business, sa Araneta Coliseum. Bukod kasi sa pagiging hands-on ni Ogie sa pagpili ng repertoire niya, siya pa rin ang personal na kumakausap sa 20 guests niya.
Hindi masyadong mahihirapan si Ogie pagdating sa Kapuso stars, ang pagkausap sa mga singers ng ABS-CBN ang pinuproblema niya. So far, si Gary Valenciano pa lang daw ang pumayag na mag-guest sa concert niya sa September.
