The next showbiz court case: Cogie Domingo versus Director Gil Portes.
From a confirmed but unnamed source—nasa loob ng Makati Regional Trial Court ang nagbalita nito sa amin—nag-file na si Cogie ng complaint against his Mourning Girls director Gil Portes for the P150,000 the director reportedly owed the young actor.
Nagsimula ang hindi pagkakaunawaan ng dalawa nang naengganyo ni Direk Gil si Cogie and his mother Zenie Domingo to co-produce a movie intended for the 2006 Metro Manila Film Festival, ang Mourning Girls. Nangako raw si Gil that part of the money na ia-advance ni Cogie will be a loan para magkaroon ng co-producer status ang director.
Hindi kumita ang pelikula so in trying to recoup some of his loss, siningil ni Cogie si Direk Gil sa pagkakautang nito, reportedly to the tune of P150,000.
Cogie's father is human rights lawyer Atty. Rod Domingo.
