Aksidenteng nakausap ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ang actress-TV host na si Cheska Garcia. Siyempre pa, ang unang kinumusta namin sa kanya ay ang nalalapit niyang kasal sa longtime boyfriend niya na si Doug Kramer.
Masayang ibinalita ni Cheska na tuloy na tuloy na ang wedding nila ngayong taong ito.
"The wedding will be on October 9, that's Thursday. Ang motif na napili namin ay periwinkle, salmon pink, and royal blue. The theme will be a Spanish with a tweak wedding and it will be at 4:30 p.m. All at Blue Leaf at Fort Bonifacio," excited na sabi niya.
"It's gonna be a Christian wedding," pahabol ni Cheska, na kagaya ni Doug ay member ng Victory Christian Fellowship.
Ayon kay Cheska, ang honeymoon siguro nila will take place on January next year pa, pagkatapos ng kasalukuyang season ng Philippine Basketball Association, kung saan naglalaro si Doug para sa Air21 Express.
Hands-on daw pareho sina Cheska at Doug sa kanilang kasal, although they hired a wedding organizer na tumutulong sa kanila.
When PEP asked Cheska about the wedding entourage, hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa raw tapos ang plano. Ang sigurado pa lang daw, ang tatayong Best Man at Maid of Honor ay mga non-showbiz friends nila pareho.
Kasama ba ang kapatid ni Cheska na si Patrick Garcia sa wedding entourage?
"We are still fixing that part, too," sabi ni Cheska. "There are so many things to take into consideration. Some of which, I didn't give importance to... like putting family first instead of friends. Hay, it's so hard! But yeah, I want my brothers to be part of... dapat lang naman, di ba?"
After their wedding, tuloy pa rin naman daw si Cheska sa kanyang showbiz career. At present, she is co-hosting US Girls sa Studio 23 with Iya Villania and Angel Aquino.
Twenty-eight years old na si Cheska and that makes her three years older than Doug. Pero feeling ni Cheska, she's in a perfect age na rin to tie the knot. Kaya naman daw when Doug proposed to her, yes na talaga ang isinagot niya rito.
When it comes to having a baby, Cheska has this to say: "If God permits it, why not? But I still want to enjoy."
JENNYLYN & PATRICK. Hindi na rin pinalagpas ng PEP ang pagkakataon para kumustahin ang relationship ni Cheska kay Jennylyn Mercado, ang ina ng magiging anak ng nakababatang kapatid na si Patrick. May communication pa ba silang dalawa ni Jennylyn?
"With Jen, I don't speak to her. We have not spoken... Relationship, we don't have one," diretsong sagot ni Cheska.
Aware ba si Cheska na recently ay nagkasakit at na-confine sa hospital si Jennylyn dahil diumano sa stress na dulot ng mga hindi magagandang text messages sa kanya ni Patrick?
"Yes," sagot ni Cheska. "After saying Patrick is like this and Patrick is like that, at the end, sinabi rin niya na kaya siya na-hospital ay dahil nadulas siya."
Kung gaano kasaya ang lovelife ni Cheska, tila kabaligtaran naman ito ng nangyayari kay Patrick. Naitanong tuloy ng PEP kay Cheska kung may panghihinayang siya sa kinahinatnan ng relationship ng kapatid at ni Jennylyn.
"There is a reason for all this," saad ni Cheska. "I guess, better to see things now before it's too late. I don't know if I am... Now, I don't think so."
At that point, nag-request si Cheska na huwag na lang pag-usapan si Jennylyn.
"Can we not talk about her? Kasi wala naman akong masasabing maganda tungkol sa kanya. My brother has never spoken bad about her on TV, not even to defend himself, text pa? Let's not talk about her na lang," sabi niya.
