News came out that actress Snooky Serna was rushed to the hospital while taping for the GMA-7 afternoon drama series Kaputol ng Isang Awit. Up to now, no one knows why, though rumors suggest that she was pregnant and suffered a miscarriage. News also had it that Snooky herself revealed to a reporter—Archie de Calma who wrote the story here in PEP—that she was indeed pregnant. (Click here to read related article.)
Snooky's manager, Leo Dominguez debunked the rumor by saying that appendicitis was the cause behind Snooky's illness, not a miscarriage.
"Wala naman akong pinagdaanan lately na dapat pag-usapan. Kung ano man yung rumor na yun, e, it's nothing," Snooky said.
She added, "Actually I have nothing to say naman, e, except that I'm just okay. Huwag po kayo mag-alala. Everything is just fine, at kung ano man naririning about me and my family, e, paki-disregard lang po kasi we are all okay."
DISREGARD, DISREGARD. Linked to the pregnancy rumor is the news that a high-ranking politician was responsible for getting her pregnant. Again, Snooky dismissed this as baloney.
"Disregard, disregard, disregard," Snooky said tersely. "I would be the first person to tell you kung ano man. Pero wala. Paki-close na po ang topic dahil nakakahiya sa mga taong hindi naman dapat madamay at wala naman dapat pag-usapan."
Despite the intrigues, Snooky's happy that she is getting more projects, even sporting a new look—almost skinhead—for her new indie film.
"It's an indie film and I'm very proud and I'm so humbled and thankful to be part of this wonderful production. It's also gonna star Ms. Lovi Poe. The title is Ang Pananamantala Kay Rosa. Basta magugulat sila sa role. Kakaiba. Iba-ibang Snooky ang makikita nila dito. And hopefully, pang-nomination. I am hoping for that."
