Two-time FHM Sexiest Woman in the Philippines Katrina Halili guested yesterday, July 19, at StarTalk to talk about the events at the World Trade Center, where the FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World victory party was held. It wasn't all smiles and cheers that night, as Katrina was about to reveal.
Even before the interview began, StarTalk host Lolit Solis was already fuming, saying things like, "Wala siyang [Riza Santos] karapatan na ganyanin ang mga taga-GMA! Sila Alyssa [Alano] daw din at si LJ [Reyes]...!"
Riza is a Fil-Canadian beauty queen who became one of the housemates in the second season of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition. She is also part of the cast of the Dolphy-Vic Sotto movie Dobol Trobol.
It took time for Katrina and Butch Francisco to calm Lolit down, and when Lolit was pacified, Butch proceeded to ask Katrina about what really happened backstage.
"Ang unang nagsumbong sa akin, e, si Alyssa," Butch explained before Katrina could speak. "Pero in fairness, sabi ni Alyssa na huwag na sabihin on air. Pero alam mo naman ako, may kadaldalan na din, so sinabi ko. Anyway, ano ba ang ginawa sa iyo?"
"Nagbibihis po ako doon sa CR, ‘tapos nakita ko siya [Riza] at ningitian ko siya," Katrina said. "'Tapos, ang sama ng tingin niya. Nagulat ako. Sabi ko, ‘Ano ba yan?'"
"Ni hindi ko nga siya kilala!" Lolit interjected. "Sino ba 'yang Riza Santos na ‘yan?!"
"Don't ask me," Butch quipped. Changing the subject, he told Katrina, "Pati si Alyssa ginanun din daw."
"Ay, nagulat nga po ako na siya din pala!" Katrina exclaimed. "Sabi din ni LJ na siya din, sinungitan daw."
"Bakit, kilala mo ba siya?" Lolit demanded. "Bakit mo siya ningitian?"
"E, siyempre friendly kami," Katrina sweetly said. "'Yan ang mga Kapuso!"
"Palibhasa..." Lolit again ranted, "number 18 lang siya!"
Changing the subject, Butch related how fellow Kapuso star Iwa Moto volunteered to defend Alyssa by proposing that they get back at Riza. The peaceful Alyssa, however, said that wouldn't be necessary.
"Huwag na po," Katrina said. "Ayaw ng mga Kapuso ang ganyan. Friendly kami dito, e."
NUMBER ONE NO MORE. Shifting to another issue, this time with the title ‘FHM's Sexiest', Butch asked whether Katrina felt any regret for not getting a three-peat on the title.
"Aaminin ko na tao lang ako at siyempre nanghihinayang ako," Katrina blurted. "Siyempre, ang ganda naman na tatlong beses ako nanalo, di ba? Pero siyempre masaya naman ako na si Marian [Rivera] ang number one! And, hindi naman masama na number two, 'di ba?"
"Sa total, nagpapakatotoo na din lang, sino sa palagay mo ang mas sexy sa inyo ni Marian?" Butch followed up.
"Siyempre, idol ko sarili ko!" Katrina quipped. "Pero siyempre, love ko naman si Marian."
That said, Butch asked whether there would be an issue between Marian and Katrina since, if people remember, a rift occurred between the two of them during the Marimar days.
Before Katrina could answer, Lolit exclaimed, "Hindi! Ang kaaway nila ngayon ay si Riza Santos!"
