Rock singer Ely Buendia was rushed to the hospital in the middle of his reunion concert with Eraserheads earlier tonight, August 30, at the Global City Open Field The Fort, Taguig City.

Nakatanggap ng report ang PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) kani-kanina lang na isinugod daw sa hospital ang frontman ng Pupil na si Ely Buendia sa kalagitnaan ng reunion concert ng Eraserheads ngayong gabi, August 30, sa Global City Open Field The Fort, Taguig City.
Ayon sa nakuhang impormasyon ng PEP, paos at mukhang matamlay si Ely habang nagpe-perform kasama ng kanyang mga dating kabanda sa Eraserheads na sina Raimund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala, at Marcus Adoro. Pagkatapos ng 15 songs ay nagkaroon daw ng break bago ang second set.
Dapat sana ay magtatagal lamang ng 20 minutes ang break, pero ilang minuto pagkatapos ng takdang oras ay lumabas sina Raimund, Buddy, at Marcus kasama ang kapatid ni Ely na si Lally, na siyang nag-announce na hindi na raw tatapusin ang concert dahil isinugod sa hospital ang singer.
Ani Lally, "Because of the emotional and physical stress that he's experiencing, we apologize for cutting the concert short. My brother had to be rushed to the hospital for medical attention. Again we apologize and we thank all of you for coming here tonight."
Dinala si Ely sa Makati Medical Center for treatment and observation.
Matatandaang noong January 7, 2007 ay inatake sa puso si Ely nang minsang mag-perform ang bago niyang banda na Pupil sa Laguna.
Dalawang araw bago ang reunion concert ng Eraserheads, noong August 28, ay sumakabilang-buhay ang ina ni Ely na si Mrs. Lisette Buendia.
Abangan ang mga karagdagang impormasyon sa kalagayan ni Ely sa mga susunod na report ng PEP.
