TV Ratings (Aug. 29-Sept. 1): "Magdusa Ka" ends with a bang, "Una Kang Naging Akin" opens strongly

It was a strong finish for GMA-7's Sine Novela Magdusa Ka as it ended its run on top last Friday, August 29, with 24 percent.
Coming in second is another afternoon soap, Gaano Kadalas ang Minsan, with 22.2 percent; followed by Eat Bulaga! (21.8 percent), Daisy Siete (20.5 percent), while Marimar and Wowowee tied for the fifth place with identical 17.8 percent rating.
The primetime race still belonged to Dyesebel, which gathered a rating of 39.9 percent. Occupying the second to fourth positions are fellow Kapuso shows Codename: Asero (36.6 percent), Ako Si Kim Samsoon (31.4 percent), and 24 Oras (30.3 percent). Completing the Top 5 is ABS-CBN's The Singing Bee (25.9 percent).
Eat Bulaga! once again topped the daytime race last Saturday, August 30, with 23.3 percent. In second place is Manny Pacquiao and Chris Tiu's Pinoy Records with 21.2 percent; followed by Willie Revillame's Wowowee, Aga Muhlach's That's My Doc, and Joey de Leon's Takeshi's Castle.
Bitoy's Funniest Videos led all primetime shows with 31.8 percent while Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho grabbed the second spot with 26.8 percent closely followed by Celebrity Duets with 26.6 percent.
Completing the Top 10 are Pinoy Dream Academy, Imbestigador, Maalaala Mo Kaya, Varga, XXX, Nuts Entertainment, and Sine Totoo.
ASAP '08 held on to its No. 1 position last Sunday, August 31, topping the daytime race once again. The ABS-CBN musical-variety show got 18.2 percent compared to SOP's 17.7 percent, which is good for second place.
Drama anthologies Dear Friend and Your Song ranked third and fourth while The Buzz came in fifth.
Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera's birthday show, dubbed as Let's Celebrate: The Dingdong-Marian Birthday Blowout!, shown on GMA-7 took the second spot among primetime shows, next only to Mel & Joey's 23.3 percent.
Compelting the Top 5 are Tok! Tok! Tok! Isang Milyon Pasok, Ful Haus, and All Star K and Pinoy Dream Academy Little Dreamers, which tied at No. 5.
Magdusa Ka, starring Dennis Trillo and Katrina Halili, has been replaced by Una Kang Naging Akin, which began yesterday, September 1. The new GMA-7 Sine Novela starring Angelika dela Cruz, Wendell Ramos, and Maxene Magalona, debuted at No. 2 with 21.5 percent behind Eat Bulaga's 23.1 percent.
Gaano Kadalas ang Minsan was at No. 3 with 21.3 percent; followed by Daisy Siete and Wowowee.
Finally, Dyesebel remains unbeatable, leading all primetime programs with 39.7 percent.
