Personal na inimbita ni Rita Avila ang PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa launching ng kanyang librong 8 Ways To Comfort With Grace na gaganapin sa SMX Convention Center Mall of Asia sa September 16. Isa ito sa mga bagong libro ng St. Paul's Publication na ilu-launch sa 29th Manila International Book Fair.
May English at Tagalog translation ang 8 Ways to Comfort with Grace, na may 92 pages at mabibili for P125. Nasa cover ng libro si Rita at ang anak nila ni Direk Ernie Reyes na si Elia Jesu Reyes na tatlong linggo lang nabuhay.
Ipinanganak si Jesu noong November 10, 2006 at pumanaw noong December 2, 2006 due to a heart ailment.
Sabi ni Rita sa text message niya sa PEP: "I wrote 8 Ways To Comfort With Grace as a guideline to those who sympathize. Sometimes people don't know they hurt the grievers more with what they say. INA Foundation members are happy that finally, a book like this had been written. Fr. Cris Cella says it also good for those who are depressed. The book includes the story of my son."
Bago siya nakasulat ng libro, nakapag-compose na rin si Rita ng kanta, her way of releasing her grief sa untimely death ng kanyang anak. The song "Hanggang Dito Na Lang" is included in OJ Mariano's Ballads album. Ibinalita rin ng aktres na may ginagawa pa siyang isang kanta na tungkol din sa buhay.
Hindi pa rin nakakalimutan ni Rita ang pag-arte. Kasama siya sa cast ng Magdusa Ka na tinampukan nina Katrina Halili at Dennis Trillo. Naghihintay lang daw siya ng susunod na project.
