Nakausap ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ang dating basketball player na si Jason Webb sa presscon ng TV5 reality show na My MVP o My Most Valuable Pinoy noong Martes, September 30, sa Burgoo restaurant sa Podium, Ortigas Center.
Ang naturang show ay hinu-host ni Jason kasama si Bayani Agbayani. Present din sa presscon si Ateneo Blue Eagles coach Norman Black, na camp director ng reality sports show na naghahanap ng magaling na basketball player.
Kuwento ni Jason, nine finalists na lang ang natitira at isa sa kanila ang mananalo ng more than P1 million pesos. Patterned sa My Team reality sports show ng Malaysia ang My MVP. Pero dito, pagmamay-ari ng TV5 ang concept ng reality sports show.
Napapanood ang My MVP every Sunday, 6-7 p.m. Ang mananalo ay puwedeng mag-apply sa kahit anong team sa Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) at magagamit nila ang natutunang iba't ibang drills kay Coach Norman Black.
Nagkaroon ng kulay ang interview ng PEP kay Jason nang mapag-usapan ang nababalitang relasyon ni Edu Manzano sa kapatid niyang si Pinky Webb. Ayon kay Jason, wala siyang alam sa relasyon ng dalawa.
"Hindi ko alam talaga dahil hindi ko naman sila nakikita. Sa diyaryo ko nga lang nabasa. Pero nang tinanong ko si Pinky, hindi raw totoo," sabi ni Jason.
Pabor ba siya sa relasyon ng kapatid at ni Edu?
"Bakit ako magiging in favor, hindi ko nga alam? ‘Tsaka bumibili ako ng pirated discs!" tawa niya. Si Edu ang chairman ng Optical Media Board na may kampanya laban sa piracy.
Patuloy niya, "Hindi ko nga sila nakikita. The last time nakita ko si Edu ay nang mag-guest ako sa birthday presentation ni Pinky sa morning show niya sa ABS-CBN. Hindi ko alam ang sitwasyon nila. Isusumbong ko si Pinky kay Dad [Freddie Webb]!" biro ni Jason.
In fairness kay Jason, hindi nga niya makikita si Edu kung dumadalaw kay Pinky dahil magkaiba ang bahay nila. May sarili nang pamilya si Jason, who is married to Claudine Trillo. May dalawa silang anak, four-year-old and two-year-old girls.
"Hindi rin kami madalas mag-usap ni Pinky. Noong mga bata pa kami, ilang taon kaming hindi nag-usap, kaya wala akong alam sa kanila ni Edu," pagtatapos nito.
