"Ayokong patulan ang ganyang akusasyon dahil marami ang nakakakilala sa akin," sagot ng aktres, na mula nang sumikat sa Marimar ay di na nilubayan ng intriga. "Yung matatagal ko nang ka-close, and they'd say, sila mismo, na hindi ako ganoon."
Paliwanag niya, "Nagsasalita ako kung kailangan, at kung feeling ko, nababastos ako, and it's just normal. Alam kong hindi basta madya-justify yun, kasi ang kaibahan ko lang sa ibang tao, may pangalan ako, not for anything else, kaya napapalaki. Pero hindi ako nagtataray nang wala sa lugar.

"Flattered siyempre ako," sambit ni Marian. "Kasi Vivian Velez 'yan, na may napatunayan naman as an actress. Kahit hindi na siya active, coming from somebody na hindi ko naman nakikilala pa nang personal, pero sinasabing bagay ako sa role, happy siyempre ako."
Pagtatapos ni Marian, "Ay, salamat talaga! Pero sabi nga ng iba, ang ganda-ganda ni Miss Vivian, especially during those years na dyosang-dyosa ang dating niya. At sana nga, mabigyan ko ng justice yung pagtitiwala sa akin ng GMA-7 at ni Direk Carlo J. Caparas para ako ang pagtiwalaan sa role para sa TV remake."
Si Dingdong Dantes pa rin ang kapareha ni Marian sa Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang.
