"At past 2:00 p.m., Jen texted me ‘Tita may I call?' Texted her back ‘Sure.' Jen told me, nawawala raw si Tita Mel. She has not seen nor heard from her for days. Sinabi ni Jen na may problema raw siya sa ATM and checking account. Kade-deposit lang nya ng 80 thousand nung umaga then when she checked in the afternoon, wala na.

"Jen also found out that her checks bounced. She was caught unaware of what was happening. Naawa ako kay Jen. She was crying.

"I advised Jen to calm down. Then I called Tony and asked him if he knew something coz I was suspicious already. He told me Jen owes him 300 thousand. According to Tony, ‘When Mel borrowed 300 thousand, Jen was in touch with me. May ipinakita si Mel na text ni Jen na umuutang, nagpapasalamat sa pagtitiwala at pagpapautang sa kanya.' Nagtiwala si Tony kay Mel thru those text messages coming from Jen as shown by Mel. 

"Ang kabilin-bilinan ni Mel kay Tony, huwag na huwag sasabihin ito sa akin dahil magagalit daw ako kay Jen. Ayaw raw ipaalam ni Jen na nangungutang siya. Secret lang daw  nilang dalawa ni Mel ‘yan at huwag din banggitin kay Jen ang 300 thousand na utang dahil mapapahiya ito.

"Upon hearing that excuse, I advised Tony to talk to Jen immediately coz I don't believe that Jen owes him money. Tinawagan ni Tony si Jen. Tumawag ulit sa akin si Jen, scared, and crying. Wala daw siyang utang kay Tito Tony. Paano daw nangyari iyon?

Nag-set kami ng meeting at 7:30 p.m. sa house ni Tony. Jen brought her good forged checks, including her bank statements. Ipinakita rin ni Tony ang mga na-good na checks ni Jen, at nai-compare namin ang true and forged, and we saw a big difference sa signature.

"I then advised everyone present sa meeting na puntahan namin si Mel sa house niya to give her a chance to explain. So, we all went and arrived before midnight. Mel was sleeping in the sofa. Ronnie woke her up but di niya magising. May balde sa tabi ng sofa with her vomit. We requested Ronnie to wake her up because we want to hear her side.

"Pinaupo si Mel at humilig lang kay Ronnie. We were all talking to her. Nakikiusap na harapin ang problema pero ayaw niya idilat ang mga mata niya. I said ayaw niya because I never saw any effort on her part to open her eyes. That was also the opinion of everyone present. Nag-request si Ronnie na iwanan muna sila ni Mel at Jen para makapag-usap ng masinsinan. So, we followed Ronnie's request and stepped out of the house.

"After a while, lumabas si Jen and Ronnie. Di pa rin idinidilat ni Mel ang mga mata niya but Jen said she saw tears flowing. Nag-comment ako na mahirap gisingin ang nagtutulug-tulugan.

"I asked Ronnie what he knew, wala raw siyang alam. Ronnie made a comment na nag-take yata ng Zonrox [a bleaching product] because amoy-Zonrox ang breath ni Mel. Ang sabi naman namin na dapat bumula na bibig niya at namatay dahil lason ang Zonrox pag orally taken. We advised Ronnie to bring Mel to the hospital because of her condition. Ronnie said, ‘Balik na lang kayo at pasensiya na at di pa siya makakausap sa ngayon,' and so, we left at around 1:00 a.m., October 8 na.

"Present at Mel's house last October 7 before mag-midnight, aside from me, were Jen, Tony, Rose [Anonuevo, Tony's wife], Babet, Lheng and my agency's staff, Erlin [Garcia], Bing, Lee [Miranda] and Erlin's husband Francis.

"Regarding naman  sa UCPB [United Coconut Planters Bank] OR saving account with Jen, that ended last January 10, 2008, according to Jen and Lydia during our meeting with the lawyers, walang tinurn-over si Mel na financial statement records and UCPB OR savings passbook sa kanila.

"So, if it's not with them, then it's with Mel because na-turn over naman kay Mel ang original statement and passbook ni Jen. Siya kasi ang in charge with Jen's account. I just signed the withdrawal slip based on Mel's report on Jen's expense. Si Mel din kasi ang in charge sa billing statements and records ni Jen. Mel represented herself as the road manager and personal assistant of Jen.

"This will be the first and last time that I will be answering this PEP interview. Just like what I said in all my interviews, this issue is not for public consumption! A lot of hurting words, fabricated lies,and malicious text messages have been spread out to destroy my reputation and credibility as a manager and as a human being.

"Likewise to my artists who have done nothing wrong to deserve all this public humiliation. Nakikiusap po ako sa inyong lahat to allow the court to take charge from now on. These are human lives torn apart into pieces by trial by publicity. Please let's give respect due each other as human beings. No one is perfect. God is watching. The truth will prevail at the right time," pagtatapos ni Becky Aguila.
