As Christmas draws near, Filipinos continue fulfilling beloved
traditions that mark the holiday season. Soon, people will be attending dawn

This year, the Metro Manila Development Authority continues organizing the annual Metro Manila Film Festival, which is expected to run from December 25 to January 3, 2009. All eight official entries will open on Christmas Day, unlike in previous years when there were two batches of films shown in cinema houses, the first on December 25 and the second, January 1.
For ten days, only locally produced films will be shown all over the Philippines, ensuring a captive market for producers lucky enough to make the cut.
For the 34th Metro Manila Film Festival, PEP
(Philippine Entertainment Portal) creates a microsite that carries information
about the eight official entries, composed of four comedy films, two drama
movies, a horror trilogy, and an animated film.
