ABS-CBN refutes accusation that staff and crew did not respect Marky Cielo's family

  "Contrary to the false accusations, ABS-CBN politely and respectfully asked the permission of Mommy Mildred Cadaweng for an interview as seen in the video footage aired in The Buzz last Sunday (Dec 14). Facts showed that the ABS-CBN team was welcomed by Marky's family and did their jobs ethically," says ABS-CBN in an official statement sent to the media.

ABS-CBN issued an official statement this afternoon, December 15, in connection with the accusation that the Kapamilya network "disrespected" the wake of GMA-7 contract artist Marky Cielo.

Reports came out last Friday, December 12, that the staff and crew of different ABS-CBN programs allegedly covered the wake of Marky without permission. It was also reported that Marky's mother, Mildred Cadaweng, confronted the staff and crew of ABS-CBN upon learning that footage of Marky on his coffin was shown in a news program.
