The finale episode of GMA-7's reality show Survivor Philippines was the most-watched primetime show last Friday, December 12. The said episode, where JC Tiuseco was declared the first-ever Pinoy Sole Survivor, generated a rating of 35 percent.
Survivor Philippines was followed by the following Kapuso shows: Luna Mystika (33.8 percent), Gagambino (31.8 percent), Lalola (31.5 percent), and 24 Oras (31.1 percent).
Cristine Reyes's Eva Fonda, meanwhile, topped all ABS-CBN shows to grab the sixth place with 23.3 percent; closely followed by Bea Alonzo's I Love Betty Le Fea with 23.2 percent.
TV Patrol World and Bubble Gang tied at No. 8 with 23 percent; followed by ABS-CBN shows Pinoy Fear Factor (22.6 percent) and Dyosa (22.5 percent).
Kahit Isang Saglit, the soap opera of Jericho Rosales and Malaysian actress Carmen Soo, ended its run at No. 12 with 18.6 percent. Richard Gomez's Family Feud took the 11th spot.
The daytime race belonged to Una Kang Naging Akin with 23 percent while Eat Bulaga! grabbed the second spot with 21.8 percent.
Completing the Top 5 are Saan Darating ang Umaga? (21.3 percent), Daisy Siete (19.4 percent), and Wowowee (15.9 percent).
Occupying the rest of the Top 10 are Pieta; Pilipinas, Game KNB; Rosalinda; La Traicion; and SiS.
Pinoy Records, meanwhile, topped the daytime race last Saturday, December 13, with 22.6 percent.
Startalk, which devoted most of its time for their tribute to Marky Cielo, tied with Wish Ko Lang for second place with identical 22.4 percent rating.
Eat Bulaga! slipped to No.3 with 21.6 percent; followed by Wowowee (15.6 percent) and the pilot episode of Komiks Presents Mars Ravelo's Dragonna starring Shaina Magdayao (15.2 percent).
Completing the Top 5 are the following shows: Takeshi's Castle; Pilipinas, Game KNB?; Komiks Presents Mars Ravelo's Tiny Tony (final episode); Cinema FPJ; and Entertainment Live.
Bitoy's Funniest Videos ruled the primetime race with 28.9 percent. Coming in second is Mike Enriquez's Imbestigador.
It was followed by Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho; Maalala Mo Kaya, featuring Judy Ann Santos, with 23.7 percent; and Kakasa Ka Ba Sa Grade 5? with 21.2 percent.
The rest of the Top 10 were occupied by Banana Split, The Singing Bee, XXX, TV Patrol World, and GMA-7's Christmas special Have A Very Funny Christmas.
Finally, GMA-7 musical-variety show SOP ruled last Sunday, December 14, with 16.9 percent. It was followed by the first part of the Christmas special of Dear Friend, starring hosts Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin, with 15.1 percent.
Takeshi's Castle and ASAP '08 tied at No. 3 with both 13.2 percent; followed by showbiz talk shows Showbiz Central (11.6 percent) and The Buzz (9.7 percent).
Mel & Joey secured the top spot in the primetime race with 24.5 percent; closely followed by second placer Family Feud: Celebrity Edition with 24.1 percent.
Completing the Top 5 are All Star K (23.5 percent), Ful Haus (22.3 percent), and Rated K (18.5 percent).
The reunion special of Survivor Philippines ranked sixth overall with an impressive 18.1 percent despite its late timeslot.
