Nagbigay ng kanyang pahayag si Jewel Mische sa Startalk last Saturday, February 7, sa lumabas na balitang isinulat ni Jobert Sucaldito sa column nito sa Bandera na tumalbog daw ang ipina-rediscount niyang tseke na nagkakahalaga ng more than P100,000. Co-signatory rin daw ng young actress ang kanyang ina sa checking account na ito.

Pero ayon kay Jewel, wala raw siyang anumang checking account.

"I don't own check books," sabi ng dalaga. "I don't have a checking account, so I never issued a check in my whole life. It's not true. Kung gusto po nila i-check sa lahat ng bangko yun. It's not mine.

"Well, I've found out that it's my mom's transaction. So, I got so surprised na ganoon. And how can they even make such claim na hindi naman sila sigurado? Isn't it so unfair? Kasi ako yung convenient target," hinaing ni Jewel.

Kung tutuusin nga raw, hindi naman millions ang pinag-uusapan.

"We're not talking about millions here," sabi ni Jewel. "It's not even fifty thousand, it's just a small amount. It's thirty thousand! It's thirty thousand and we lambast and put down a person just like that."

Nagkataon lang daw na wala sa bansa ang kanyang ina, pero nakausap na raw nito ang tinalbugan na tseke.

"What happened was, the other party had a hard time contacting her because she's always out of the country. But my mom told me, they've already talked about it. They sat down and made an agreement. And she has no intention of running away from any responsibilities.

"So, ito pong nangyaring ito, settled na, it's completely settled. She's already paid, so wala nang dapat pag-usapan," sabi ni Jewel.

Sa dahilang naging sentro siya ng malisyosong balita, kibit-balikat na lang daw ang sagot ni Jewel dito.

"I don't wanna linger on it anymore. Of course, I was hurt, I was shocked. Parang napaka-unfair naman sa akin po. Pero ayoko ng magulo. So, napatawad ko na. And of course, we acknowledge, we accept  kung anumang pagkukulang sa part namin," saad niya.

Bilang anak, nalulungkot daw si Jewel para sa kanyang ina.

"I feel bad. Siyempre, this is not good for me, for us. You know, my mom, she's a very, very hardworking person and she's a good person, and she has no intention of running [away from] her responsibilities. So, alam naman po sana yun ng mga tao," pahayag ni Jewel, na hindi na napigilang mapaiyak.
