TNS National Ratings (Feb. 27-March 2): Wowowee widens lead over Eat Bulaga!

ABS-CBN's noontime time Wowowee widens its lead over rival Eat Bulaga! in the daytime race. Willie Revillame's show posted a rating of 23.2 percent last Monday, March 2, to lead all daytime programs; while the country's longest-running noontime show, hosted by Tito, Vic & Joey, only managed to get 14.6 percent to finish 8th overall.

 

GMA-7's back-to-back Sine Novelas—Paano Ba ang Mangarap? and the newbie Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin?—took the second and third spots, respectively, with 17.9 percent and 17.3 percent.

 

Completing the Top 5 are Pilipinas, Game KNB? (17.1 percent) and Pieta (15.5 percent).

 

May Bukas Pa maintains its No. 1 position with 39.7 percent, followed by I Love Betty La Fea (37.3 percent), Tayong Dalawa (36 percent), TV Patrol World (32.6 percent), and Totoy Bato (27.2 percent).

 

Completing the Top 10 are: Luna Mystika, SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon; Kapamilya, Deal Or No Deal; 24 Oras, and Ang Babaeng Hinugot sa Aking Tadyang.

 

The pilot episode of Your Song Presents Underage, TV remake of the hit Regal movie, topped the daytime race last Sunday, March 1, with 18.6 percent.

 

Occupying the second and third slots are the competing networks' musical-variety shows—ABS-CBN's ASAP '09 and GMA-7's SOP—with 17.7 percent and 12.9 percent, respectively.

 

Coming in fourth place is The Buzz with 12.1 percent; followed by Joey's Quirky World (10.6 percent), Showbiz Central (10.2 percent), Matanglawin (9.9 percent), Dear Friend (9.5 percent); Kay Susan Tayo (8.6 percent), and Bakugan Brawlers (7.7 percent).

 

The primetime race belonged to Korina Sanchez's Rated K with 28.7 percent, followed by The Singing Bee (27 percent), Mel & Joey (22 percent), Sharon (21.5 percent), and Goin' Bulilit (19.4 percent) to complete the Top 5.

 

The rest of the Top was occupied by the following shows: Kap's Amazing Stories, My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad, All Star K, Ful Haus, and TV Patrol Linggo.

 

Wowowee was a runaway winner in last Saturday's, February 28, daytime race, generating a rating of 26.2 percent.

 

Komiks Presents Flash Bomba was a far second with 20.9 percent; followed by Eat Bulaga! (15.6 percent), Pinoy Records (12.8 percent), and Takeshi's Castle (12.6 percent).

 

The country's longest-running drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) became the highest-rated primetime show last Saturday, February 28. Starring Angel Locsin as a UP graduate who became a taong-grasa, MMK posted a whopping 37.7 percent, more than 10 percent than its closest rival.

 

Cesar Montano's The Singing Bee was a very far second with 27.7 percent; followed by XXX (25.9 percent), Imbestigador (23 percent), and Bitoy's Funniest Videos (20.8 percent).

 

Just like in Mega Manila, the last episode of Saan Darating ang Umaga? also topped the daytime race last Friday, February 28, among national TV households. It posted a rating of 21.8 percent.

 

Coming in second place was Wowowee with 21.1 percent, followed by Paano Ba ang Mangarap? with 20 percent.

 

Pilipinas, Game KNB? and Daisy Siete tied for the fourth place with an identical rating of 16 percent. Eat Bulaga! completed the Top 5 with 15.7 percent.

 

May Bukas Pa remains strong in its current position as the No. 1 primetime show, with 38.1 percent rating last Friday, February 27.

 

Trailing behind are fellow Kapamilya shows Tayong Dalawa (37.1 percent), I Love Betty La Fea (35.8 percent), and TV Patrol World (31.3 percent), while GMA-7's Totoy Bato (27.6 percent) occupied the fifth slot.
