Francis Magalona, acknowledged as the Philippine's Master Rapper, died earlier today, March 6, after nearly seven months of battle with leukemia.

Francis's death was announced on national television by Vic Sotto in Eat Bulaga! a few minutes after 12:00 n.n. Before his treatment, Francis used to co-host the longest-running noontime show being aired on GMA-7.

A few minutes after his death was announced, QC vice mayor Herbert Bautista, Michael V, and Ogie Alcasid were spotted at Medical City in Pasig City.

His remains lie in state at the Funeraria Paz in Araneta Avenue, Quezon City. The family requested for privacy. They also asked that instead of flowers and mass cards, cash and blood donations to Philippine Red Cross will be greatly appreciated.

Tomorrow, his remains will be brought to Christ The King Memorial Chapel in Greenmeadows, Quezon City, where the fans can already see their idol for the last time.

Francis was 44.

Isa po ako sa milyong tao na sobrang nalungkot sa pagkawala ni francis m. Kaya sana matugunan nyo nag katanungan ko sa nakita ko sa email nais kong malaman kung paninira lamang ba ito ng kung sino sa namayapang Francis M. Dahil dun sa email nakita ko ang mga larawan ni francis kasama ang di umano girlfriend nya may kuha sial na nag kiss, hug at kuha na mgkatabi ang kamay parehong suot ang engagement ring bang tatawagin yondi ko alam at larawan ng anak nila di umano na si Gaile Francesca. Na may kopya pa ng invitation nung baptismal nya na ginanap sa Kawit, Cavite. Pakilinaw namn po ang nalaman nmin na ito pagkat di kme mapakali at kung alam na ba ito ng pamilya ng nauna. salamat po ng marami.

IDOL... daig ko pa namatayan ng kamag-anak.Until now parang ndi pa rin nagsi-sink in sa akin na wala ka MASTER RAPPER.
Nung nag ZIRKOH kami, ang lakas lakas mo pa. Ikaw ang primetime guest nun. Pina akyat mo ko sa stage kasi nga napansin mo na lahat ng kanta mo memorize ko. Di ko makakalimutan na nung pina akyat mo ko sa stage, kinanta mo yung GIRL BE MINE.. lumuhod ka then sabi mo CMON GIVE ME A HUG. grabe.. IDOL.. sobrang bango mo nun. Kaya talagang ma mi miss kita IDOL.. Saludo ako sa pagiging mapagmahal mong asawa at tatay sa mga anak mo. Napaka bait mong tao. Sa lahat ng achievements mo ndi ka yumabang.
