Tila hindi pa matatapos ang usapin tungkol sa talent fee ni Sarah Geronimo sa back-to-back blockbuster hit movies niya with John Lloyd Cruz for the past two years: A Very Special Love (2008) at You Changed My Life (2009). Dahil sa box-office success ng A Very Special Love ay sina John Lloyd at Sarah ang itinanghal na Box-Office King & Queen last year.
Ayon sa report ng YES! magazine, na lumabas sa April 2009 issue, si Sarah—na No. 15 sa Most Powerful People in Showbiz—ay P200,000 lamang daw ang tinanggap na talent fee para sa You Changed My Life.
To quote YES!: "A well-placed industry player puts the Viva Films contract star's earnings from her latest blockbuster at a measly P200,000. Even with a P1 million bonus—Star Cinema's standard bonus for certified hits—the new box-office princess still pretty much looks like Cinderella."
(Click here to read related story.)
Sabi ng aming source, "It was only Malou Santos [managing director of Star Cinema] who said, 'Ang liit naman niyan. Lakihan n'yo naman.' And then, si Vic said, 'Sige, gawin nating P200,000.'
Kasi kinakaltasan si Sarah ng Viva ng 30-percent commission as part of their agreement siyempre. So, kung P200,000 'yon, less 30 percent, so mga P140,000 siya sa first film at P210,000 naman dun sa second movie," pagkukuwenta pa ng aming source. '"
STAR CINEMA'S OFFICIAL STATEMENT.
A Very Special Love at You Changed My Life.
