“I’m still very much a girl at heart. Hindi na ‘yon matatanggal sa ‘kin. But may certain responsibilities na kailangan ko nang isipin. Living alone helped me grow up," says Anne Curtis.

Deep in the heart of a suburban village outside Metro Manila lies the home of one of today’s most talented young actresses, Anne Curtis. Passersby would have no clue that the young actress lives there, as all the houses have identical exteriors. This May, however, Anne graciously opens her doors to the public by allowing YES! magazine to photograph her home.

“Pinili ko dito kasi malayo. Pag nag-Skyway ka, makikita mo ‘yong difference ng smog sa Makati area. Different ang skies dito at doon,” Anne tells YES! in the May issue. “It’s totally different. I really like the fresh air here.”

For the interiors of her home, Anne sought the help of interior designers to achieve a modern Victorian look. “'Yong style na gusto ko, very Victorian but not too vintage. May pagka-modern-touch, pero still classic-looking na hindi maa-out-of-date.” The interior designers also helped her put together custom-made furniture pieces to finish the look.

YES! also gives readers a peek into Anne’s bedroom. This is the first time the actress has allowed anyone to photograph her bedroom. Done in shades of lavender and yellow, the room’s focal point is Anne’s four-poster bed.

“My designers told me, ‘Aren’t you a bit too old for a four-poster bed.?’ Sabi ko, ‘No!’” Anne shares, “I’m still very much a girl at heart. Hindi na ‘yon matatanggal sa ‘kin. But may certain responsibilities na kailangan ko nang isipin. Living alone helped me grow up.”
