It was a very strong debut for ABS-CBN's newest primetime series, Only You, starring Diether Ocampo, Sam Milby, and Angel Locsin. Only You premiered last night, April 27, with a whopping 39.2 percent to place second behind top-rater May Bukas Pa, which got 40.1 percent.
Occupying the rest of the Top 5 slots are TV Patrol World (32.9 percent), Tayong Dalawa (31.4 percent), and 24 Oras (27.9 percent).
Completing the Top 10 are the following programs: Zorro, Totoy Bato, Hole In The Wall, Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang, and Pinoy Bingo Night.
The daytime race was once again ruled by Wowowee (25.7 percent), followed by Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin? (24.1 percent), Kambal Sa Uma (21.1 percent), Paano Ba ang Mangarap? (18.3 percent) and Pieta (17.9 percent).
Interestingly, Wowowee's rival program Eat Bulaga! just missed the winners' circle with its 14.1 percent rating.
Only You replaced the timeslot of I Love Betty La Fea, which starred Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz. The Pinoy adaptation of a Colombian telenevola ended its run last Friday, April 24, with a beautiful 41.3 percent to top the primetime race.
Perennial top-rater May Bukas Pa slipped to second place with 39.4 percent; followed by TV Patrol World (32.8 percent); Tayong Dalawa (32.7 percent); and Zorro (26.9 percent).
Wowowee topped the daytime race; followed by Kambal Sa Uma, Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin?, Pieta, and Paano Ba ang Mangarap?.
Again, Wowowee ruled the the daytime race last Saturday, April 25; while Maalaala Mo Kaya was the runaway winner in the primetime race.
Sunday viewing (April 26) belonged to Rated K (primetime) and ASAP '09 (daytime).
