Despite the constant request for him to run for a government position, Willie Revillame still says "No." He argued that it's better to help people without being involved in politics.

Willie Revillame denies having plans to run for a government position in 2010 elections.

"Masarap tumulong nang hindi ka involved sa pulitika," said the Wowowee host in an interview after the groundbreaking ceremony for his Wil Theater Mall earlier today, May 13, at the Eugenio Lopez Drive in Quezon City.

He said that one does not need to be a government official to be able to help Filipinos who are in need.

Some people think that Willie's sympathy for the poor may be a good move for a politician to get their votes. He immediately clarified that he's not endorsing any politician to the avid followers of Wowowee

But what if Vice President Noli de Castro, husband of Willie's talent manager Arlene de Castro, decides to run for president next year?

Without a second thought, Willie answered, "Well, of course, si Kabayan naman... If you will notice, sino ang tumitira kay Kabayan? Opposition? Wala. Bakit? Trabaho lang nang trabaho. Nasaan?

Would he consider to be the running mate of Noli de Castro if he runs for president?

"Hindi ako pupuwede," Willie said.

WOWOWEE AS VENUE FOR POLITICAL CANDIDATES. Last April 25, Senator Mar Roxas, who declared his intention to run for president next year, appeared in Wowowee with fiancée Korina Sanchez. On that day, Mar did not talk about politics at all. Instead, he and Korina formally announced their engagement.

This is what Willie wanted to clarify about having political candidates as guests in Wowowee

"Ang Wowowee, programa ng bawat Pilipino 'yan," he said. "Nagkataon lang na pulitiko sila. And this is the time na makita at makausap natin.

The noontime show host said that the appearance of political aspirants in his show would give the public a chance to see the their other side.

Mar Roxas, senator, lumuha. Hindi because of politics, pero dahil na-touch siya kay Korina, di ba? Si Senator Manny Villar, nagpunta do'n, not because of ano, of politics, sinuportahan niya yung anak niya, si Camille... Kasi nandun si Camille during that time. And I talked to Senator Ping Lacson, he wanted to go out and say hello para makilala nga silang lahat. Everybody's welcome, everybody's welcome. Walang pinapanigan diyan."

He added, "Bukas sa lahat [ang Wowowee].
