So, nahirapan si Iza sa long-distance relationship nila dati?
"For me, kasi iba-iba naman ang tao, e. Para sa akin lang siguro, sa pagkatao ko, hindi puwede," aniya.
Nag-effort naman daw nang todo si Jerry na magsakripisyo at mamalagi sa Pilipinas alang-alang kay Iza.
"He was sacrificing heavily, honestly. Pero siyempre, hindi ko naman siya puwedeng pilitin na dito na siya agad, e, may tinatapos pa siya dun [U.S.], e. Yun lang naman yun."
Paano nila na-maintain ang friendship nila ni Jerry?
"Mabait siya e, understanding. Mabait din naman ako sa kanya, at mahal ko yung pamilya nun. Ang laking tulong sa akin nung pamilya, grabe! Ang laki ng utang na loob ko sa mga Garcia, yung respeto ko sa kanila, todo! I mean, hindi ko man sila laging nakikita, pero kung may hingin man sila or may kailangan akong gawin para sa kanila, agad-agad ginagawa ko."
JUDAY-RYAN WEDDING. Close friend ni Iza si Judy Ann Santos, na nakasama niya sa mga pelikulang Sabel (2004) at Ouija (2007). Isa si Iza sa mga espesyal na bisita sa selebrasyon ng kasal nina Judy Ann at Ryan Agoncillo.
"Naiyak ako sa tuwa, nandun ako sa celebration," sambit ni Iza.
Habang nakikita niya ang mga bagong kasal, hindi ba naisip ni Iza na, sana ako rin?
"Hindi," ngiti niya. "Naisip ko na sana ganyan din ako in the future, not now. Actually, when they got engaged pa lang, I always said that I hope I end up with someone like that. Then when we were in Camiguin [sa shooting ng Ouija], I saw how in love they were. Hindi mo maitatanggi na in love yung dalawa and that's a great and wonderful feeling. Hindi lang dahil isang tao ang nagmamahal sa kanila, parehong mahal nila ang isa't isa, and I believe that's how a relationship should be."
Ililihim din ba ni Iza if ever na ikakasal na siya, gaya ng ginawa nina Judai at Ryan?
"Malamang!" tawa niya. "Hindi naman ako si Juday na superstar na ganun. Pero kasi, gusto ko mga 80 to 100 lang din ang guests. Wala naman sigurong masama kung yun ang hiling mo sa buhay mo, di ba?"
ALL ABOUT EVE. Sa nalalapit na pagtatapos ng All About Eve, sino ang pinakamami-miss ni Iza sa show?
"Si Tita Celia Rodriguez," mabilis na sagot ni Iza. "Naging good friends kami, e. And parang I found another mom in her... And lahat naman sa set, we will miss each other."
Ano ang next project ni Iza pagkatapos ng All About Eve?
"Movies, like yung Panday at Dukot ni Direk Joel Lamangan. It's a movie [Dukot] about extra-judicial political killings."
What about sa TV?
"Sa QTV muna, cooking show. Host ako, 'tapos may chef. Start 'to ng June. Ang working title pa lang, e, Healthy Cravings," pagtatapos ni Iza.
