The lawyer of embattled doctor Hayden Kho, Atty. Lorna Kapunan, says the proliferation of her client's sex videos has also made him a victim of exploitation.

Personal na nakausap ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) editor-in-chief na si Jo-Ann Maglipon kahapon, May 26, ang abogado ni Hayden Kho na si Atty. Lorna Kapunan kaugnay ng kontrobersiya na kinahaharap ng kanyang kliyente.
Nagsimula ang isyu matapos kumalat ang ilang sex videos ni Hayden na kasama ang iba't ibang babae, kabilang ang sexy actress na si Katrina Halili. Pormal nang nagsampa ng kaso si Katrina sa NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) noong May 20. Hiniling din ni Katrina sa Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) ) na suspendihin ang medical license ni Hayden.
Sa telephone interview ng PEP ay una nang iginiit ni Atty. Kapunan na walang kinalaman si Hayden sa paglabas ng sarili nitong sex videos. Kung tutuusin nga raw ay biktima rin ang kanyang kliyente sa dahilang mismong ito ay nalagay sa kahihiyan dahil sa nangyari. Magkaiba raw ang pag-amin ni Hayden sa nagawa nitong pagkakamali na kuhaan ng video ang kanyang pakikipagtalik sa usapin ng pagpapakalat ng naturang video sa publiko.
Katwiran ni Atty. Kapunan: "Because there is so much public hatred and shock against Hayden, because they think that he is the one distributing [the video], which is not so. As a matter of fact, if you look at...well, at least those who saw the video, you can see that there are two people there and they're both equally exploited, although Hayden, certainly, he has consent in showing his private parts."
DRUG ACCUSATION AGAINST KATRINA. Ipinagtanggol din ni Atty. Kapunan ang karakter ng kanyang kliyente, na sinasabi niyang nag-iba nang nakilala nito si Katrina: "Just to give you a background of the person, Hayden in his school days at the UST [University of Santo Tomas] was an exemplary student. He's always in the Dean's List, and the mother would say that he was considered as a candidate for the board exam. Anyway, the short to that long story is, he became a doctor, he works under Vicki [Belo] and then itong Katrina was his patient."
Nauna nang inakusahan ng pamilya Kho si Katrina na siya raw ang nagtulak sa batang doktor upang malulong sa droga—bagay na mariing itinanggi ng sexy actress at ng kanyang abogado.
Sa isang interview ay tahasang sinisi ni Mrs. Irene Kho si Katrina sa diumano'y naging drug habit ng kanyang anak.
"Ms. Katrina, ikaw ang naglulon sa anak ko sa droga. Alam din namin 'yan at sinabi na namin 'yan sa lawyer," pahayag ni Mrs. Kho sa TV Patrol World. (Click here for related story.)
Sinang-ayunan naman ni Atty. Kapunan ang akusasyon laban kay Katrina sa pagsasabing, "He got into drugs by Katrina herself. But he is not saying that he was drugged to do the sex act. He is not saying that."
A DIFFERENT HAYDEN. Nilinaw ng abogado na hindi nila ginagamit na depensa ang droga sa kaso. Wala rin daw katotohanan ang mga naunang balita na naghain sila ng "insanity" plea para ipagtanggol ang posisyon ni Hayden sa pumutok na isyu.
Ang tanging motibo lang daw nila ay linisin ang pangalan ni Hayden sa publiko lalo pa't sumailalim naman daw ito sa medical at psychological treatment bago matapos ang 2008—pagpapatunay lang na tanggap nito na meron siyang personal na problema na dapat ituwid bago pa man lumabas ang mga videos.
"What the public doesn't know is that this is not the Hayden of today. This is the Hayden two years ago. [Those] videos were done two years ago and now they are coming out," paliwanag ng abogado.
Dagdag pa nito: "Well, first of all, even before Katrina filed a complaint, he [Hayden] has been undergoing, since December of last year, a medical treatment, psychological treatment, and spiritual healings with Fr. [Fernando] Suarez."
Personal din daw na lumapit si Hayden kay Red Cross Philippines Chairperson Rosa Rosal noon upang sumali bilang volunteer ng nasabing institusyon.
"That's why he's saying na bakit ngayon pa [lumabas ang isyu] na he thinks that he's a reformed person?"
WHO PAYS LEGAL FEES? Itinanggi rin ni Atty. Kapunan ang usap-usapan na si Dra. Vicki Belo—ang tanyag na cosmetic surgeon at sinasabing kasintahan ni Hayden—ang siyang nagbabayad ng legal fees ni Hayden.
"It is a lie," sagot ni Atty. Kapunan. "And Hayden himself had said that Vicki has nothing to do with his case and we are his lawyers. Vicki in fact has her own lawyers."
Umiwas naman si Atty. Kapunan na magbigay ng komento sa balitang nakikita daw diumano si Hayden sa condominium unit ni Dra. Belo sa may Bonifacio Global City. May usap-usapan na doon sa condo unit tumutuloy si Hayden para magpalamig habang mainit pa ang iskandalong kinasasangkutan niya. Sinabi lang ng abugada na, "All I can say is he needs space and quiet to think."
CRITICS AND POLITICIANS. May mensahe naman ang abogado ni Hayden sa mga bumabatikos sa kanyang kliyente at sa ilang personalidad na sumali na sa usapin.
"The point about pornography, I think, is we're all guilty. I think we're all missing the truth, and the reason why there is a pornography law. It's really protection against exploitation, and I'm saying exploitation is not gender related. So when they're saying na kawawa naman the woman, we are also forgetting that Hayden here, too, was exploited. He's also exploited.
