Judy Ann Santos made her first public appearance today, May 29—a month after tying the knot with actor-host Ryan Agoncillo in a private ceremony at San Juan Nepomuceno Church in San Juan, Batangas.

The 31-year-old award-winning actress was formally introduced as the new endorser of Sun Cellular at a press conference held at the Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila hotel in Quezon City.

Juday (Judy Ann's nickname) is currently endorsing the Sun Double Unlimited offer, which gives subscribers the benefit of enjoying the features of a cellular phone plus the practicality of the traditional landline all in one unit.

LOVING MARRIED LIFE. The honeymoon stage is not yet over for the newlyweds, as narrated by Juday to the entertainment press.

"Nakakatuwa kasi isang buwan na, ibig sabihin, I am that happy," said Juday. "Hindi ko namalayan na lumipas ang isang buwan na may asawa na ako. Masaya pala. 'Yong idea na tawa lang kami nang tawa at ako naman talaga, di ko akalain na makakapag-asawa ako dahil akala ko dati, tatandang dalaga ako."

Though it is still too early to say, Juday described Ryan as the "perfect husband" and someone who is taking his new role with both zest and fervor.

"Mas maalaga siya ngayon," she said. "'Yong kahit saan ako pumunta kasama ko siya, ipagda-drive niya ako. Meron kaming husband-and-wife moment na nagpupunta sa mga hardware, kasi binubuo namin 'yong bahay; para kaming nagbabahay-bahayan. 'Pag nagluluto siya, assistant niya ako. 'Pag nagluluto ako, assistant ko siya. Hindi naman dati ganun si Ryan, e. Pero ngayon nakakatuwa kasi he's perfect. He's the perfect husband talaga."

Juday is hoping to get pregnant this year as she acknowledged the fact that she's not getting any younger.

"Ipinagdadasal ko po sana na ibigay. Pero kung hindi naman, hindi naman kami mamimilit. Kung kailan ibibigay, ibibigay, so naniniwala kami dun."

THE SILENT WEDDING. Given their stature—particularly of Juday in the entertainment industry—many were caught off guard with the news that the celebrated couple were able to pull off a wedding without media fanfare.

Judy Ann and Ryan exchanged "I do's" on the early morning of April 28 in front of close friends and immediate family members. The decision to wed secretly was a mutual agreement between the two to keep the solemnity of the occasion.

Looking back, Juday said it was a surreal moment made possible by trust, luck, and divine intervention.

"Hindi pa rin kami makapaniwala na nakalausot ng ganun 'yong wedding namin. Hindi naman po namin siya pinlano ng ganun. Parang everything just fell into place. Parang all the people around us siguro, tamang sabihin ko na nagsinungaling for us on that special day. Nagsinungaling na hindi naman para may mga taong masaktan kundi dahil itong mga taong 'to, we really have good relationships with them, and they're more than willing to give that special request na hiningi namin sa kanila."

Juday once again clarified that their decision to bar media coverage of the special event did not mean they're excluding the public from witnessing the much-anticipated wedding. Immediately after the wedding, Judy Ann assured media organizations that she and Ryan would provide personal materials like pictures, footages and details related to the event.

Last May 17, ABS-CBN aired the wedding special, which earned good ratings, according to the survey conducted separately by the Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS) and AGB Nielsen, Philippines.
