Sam Concepcion says he isn't fazed that he seems to be coming off second best to Charice these days, even though he was first in the contest where they competed, Little Big Star. She has achieved more than any local artists have achieved before."

Si Sam ang nanalong Top Teen Male Entertainer over Billy Crawford, Christian Bautista, and Rico Blanco.
"I'm super, super honored and thankful for the award talaga. I have so many people to thank, especially the people behind me always. It's a great feeling na ma-recognize rin."
"Ako kasi, I can't believe it myself, parang... mga idol ko pa, like Billy Crawford,"
Tuluy-tuloy pa rin daw siya sa kanyang international home study and he's already in grade 10.
Hindi nga kasi maiwasang maikumpara sila palagi, with him as the Grand Winner of the said contest at si Charice naman ay runner-up niya lamang.
It doesn't affect naman me. I'm proud of what she has achieved. And like I always say, she has achieved more than any local artists have achieved before."
Yung paglaki ng ulo, hindi naman po... let's not think of her that way," nakangiting pahayag niya.
