The ranking of the top daytime and primetime shows in the nationwide ratings of Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS) almost remained untouched even with the entry of two new shows from the Kapuso network yesterday, June 8. ABS-CBN programs maintained their supremacy in the primetime race, while Kapuso programs gave a very good fight in the daytime race.

May Bukas Pa posted a very high 41.4 percent to lead all primetime programs, followed by the other Kapamilya shows: Only You (38 percent), TV Patrol World (36.5 percent), Tayong Dalawa (33.4 percent), and Boys Over Flowers (27.2 percent).

Zorro led GMA-7's campaign with 25.4 percent to place 6th overall, followed by 24 Oras, Totoy Bato, and newcomer Adik Sa 'Yo, which replaced All About Eve.

Completing the Top 10 is ABS-CBN game show Pinoy Bingo Night.

Kapamilya noontime show Wowowee was still the No. 1 daytime show with 23.6 percent, while Kapuso soap Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin? came in second with 21.3 percent.

These shows were followed by Kambal Sa Uma, Eat Bulaga!, and Precious Hearts Romances Presents Bud Brothers.

New GMA-7 afternoon soap Ngayon at Kailanman, which replaced Paano Ba ang Mangarap?, debuted at No. 6 with 16.6 percent.

Completing the Top 10 are Daisy Siete, Hot Shot, Naruto Shippuuden, and Pilipinas, Game KNB?

May Bukas Pa and Wowowee also topped the ratings game last Friday, June 5.

Paano Ba ang Mangarap ended its run at No. 3 with 22.4 percent, while All About Eve closed at No. 8 with 23.8 percent.

Sunday primetime viewing was still ruled by Rated K, which generated a rating of 30.7 percent last June 7,  closely followed by The Singing Bee (30.6 percent), Sharon (22.6 percent), Goin' Bulilit (22 percent), and Mel & Joey (18.9 percent).

ASAP '09, on the other hand, maintained its top spot in the daytime race with 19.9 percent, followed by The Buzz (13.7 percent), Your Song Presents Boystown (12.9 percent), Matanglawin (11.9 percent), and SOP (11.2 percent).

Although Maalaala Mo Kaya still ranked No. 1 last Saturday, June 6, it tied with GMA-7's Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho with an identical rating of 25.8 percent.

Occupying the rest of the Top 5 were The Singing Bee (23.7 percent), Nasaan Ka Maruja? (21.6 percent), Bitoy's Funniest Videos (21.4 percent), and Imbestigador (20.5 percent).

Wowowee once again took the lead in the daytime race with 23.3 percent, closely followed by rival program Eat Bulaga! with 21.9 percent.
