AGB Mega Manila TV Ratings (June 5-8): Modest debut for Ngayon at Kailanman and Adik Sa 'Yo

Two new GMA-7 shows opened yesterday, June 8.

Adik Sa 'Yo, a romantic comedy featuring Jolina Magdangal, Marvin Agustin, Jennica Garcia, and Dennis Trillo, replaced the heavy drama All About Eve. The new primetime Kapuso show posted a rating of 25.4 percent to tie with TV Patrol World in 7th place.

Ngayon at Kailanman, an afternoon soap starring Heart Evangelista and JC de Vera, generated 21.1 percent ratings to place third in the daytime race. Ngayon at Kailanman replaced Paano Ba ang Mangarap?.

Topping the primetime race last night was Zorro with 33.9 percent, followed by 24 Oras (31.7 percent), May Bukas Pa (31.4 percent), Totoy Bato (29.5 percent), and Only You (29.3 percent).

Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin? still performed quite well to lead all daytime programs with 27.3 percent. Coming second was Eat Bulaga! with 24.7 percent.

All About Eve ended strongly by posting a rating of 31.8 percent last Friday, June 5, to come in second behind 24 Oras (33.3 percent).

Paano Ba ang Mangarap? also finished in second place, with 27.8 percent, behind Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin? (30.4 percent).

Mel & Joey took the top spot in the primetime race last Sunday, June 7, with 25.4 percent; followed by Rated K (23.5 percent), All Star K (22.6 percent), Power of 10 (22.1 percent), and Kap's Amazing Stories (20.5 percent).

SOP grabbed the lead in the daytime race with 16.7 percent, while rival program ASAP '09 came in second with 15.2 percent.

Completing the Top 5 are Joey's Quirky World, Dear Friend, and Showbiz Central.

Saturday (June 6) primetime viewing belonged to Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, which posted a rating of 31.7 percent, followed by Imbestigador (23.7 percent), Bitoy's Funniest Videos (22.7 percent).

TV5 programs also came out very strong, with two of its shows entering the winning column. The talent show Talentadong Pinoy placed fourth with 19.6 percent; beating rivals Are You The Next Big Star? (17.6 percent, No. 8) and The Singing Bee (16.1 percent) at No. 10.

TV5's horror program Midnight DJ came in at 9th place with 16.5 percent.

Eat Bulaga! was the runway winner in the daytime race with 27.3 percent, followed by Wish Ko Lang (21.3 percent), Wowowee (18.7 percent), Joey's Quirky World (18.5 percent), and Startalk (17.7 percent).

TV5's Spongebob Squarepants also did very well with 14.9 percent to place 7th behind Cinema FPJ (17.6 percent).
