Xian Lim of ABS-CBN's upcoming television remake of the classic coming-of-age film, Katorse, is enjoying his newfound career as an actor. Outside showbiz, Xian is part of the Team B of the University of the East Red Warriors—the varsity basketball squad of the University of the East in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP).
The chinito actor will be seen trading acting chops alongside Ejay Falcon and Katorse lead star, Erich Gonzales.
With a busy schedule and a showbiz career threatening to take off, Xian told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in a recent interview held after Katorse's press conference that he continues to be just a regular guy on and off the spotlight.
In time for Father's Day, we asked Xian, whose parents are separated, about his fondest daddy moment when he was a little boy.
"Close ako sa dad ko," Xian proudly confided, "and even though my mom and dad are separated, we still keep that father-and-son bonding."
With a nostalgic grin, Xian added, "Nung bata ako we always go out kasi nga may trabaho siya sa Bulacan and we're here sa Marikina. So, every Sunday kami nagkikita. Siyempre, bata ako, ang routine namin papabili ako ng toys, pagkatapos meron na 'yang kain, dinner tapos nun we just had fun, we watched TV, we watched movie. Kung ano lang maisip namin, very spontaneous."
How is he planning to celebrate the special occasion with his dad?
"For sure we're gonna eat out," he said excitedly.
