In the previous interview of PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) with Derek Ramsay, he said that his girlfriend Angelica Panganiban has all the qualities of a woman that any man would wish as their future wife. When Derek's statement was relayed to Angelica after signing a contract with Star Cinema, she answered: "Sana totoo! Sana sa akin niya sabihin, hindi sa inyo."
The young actress also mentioned that she is content with her boyfriend.
"Kung siya boyfriend n'yo, di ba, gusto niyo na rin siyang mapangasawa?" she asked candidly. "Hindi, wala na akong hahanapin pa sa kanya, sobrang bait na tao, sobrang inalagaan niya ako simula day one na nagkakilala kami, hanggang ngayon, hindi siya nagbago."
Angelica admits that she and Derek are both busy with their work, so they don't have much time for each other lately.
Angelica's schedule is currently split into two: for the gag show Banana Split and upcoming movie with Derek and Gabby Concepcion titled I Love You, Goodbye. Meanwhile, Derek is busy taping for Komiks Presents Nasaan Ka Maruja, Precious Heart Romances, Habang May Buhay, and The Wedding.
"Sobrang wala [time to go out together]," Angelica said. "Dinner na lang. Hindi na rin kasi kami nagkikita nang madalas, kasi apat na soap ang ginagawa niya. So, matatapos siya madaling-araw na. Siyempre, minsan, nasa trabaho din ako. Alangan naman na gumising ako ng madaling-araw?"
However, the actress says that this doesn't affect the strong relationship that they built for three years.
She explained, "Kasi, naiintindihan naman po naming parehas, e. Hindi naman ako nakikipag-compete sa pagpi-Frisbee niya, hindi ako nakikipag-compete sa trabaho niya, sa family niya, sa friends niya. Binibigyan niya ako ng time, then, happy ako."

Number 28 Halina8, the comparison you made for Derek is very harsh. Dark complexion especially for men is all good. Most Filipinos have wrong mentality about skin color. They think white or light skinned is more beautiful and superior than dark skinned. That's why women and even some men don't care about spending a lot of money for plastic surgery and skin whitening, just so they can be considered as SOCIAL or the IN CROWD. JSYK, that's just outside and temporary appearance.
