It's confirmed! Katrina Halili returns to acting via Rosalinda.
Tapos na ang haka-haka kung sino ang gaganap na pinaka-kontrabida sa local remake ng Thalia soap na Rosalinda. Kumpirmado nang magbabalik-acting at balik-kontrabida ang kontrobersiyal na StarStruck Avenger na si Katrina sa pagtanggap niya ng papel na Fedra. (Click here to read related story.)
Sa meeting na ginawa sa GMA-7 noong Martes, June 16, inalok at tinanggap naman ng kampo ni Katrina ang Fedra role bilang pagbabalik-trabaho niya. Sa Lunes, June 22 ang simula ng kanyang taping para sa primetime soap na pagbibidahan ng bagong tambalan nina Geoff Eigenmann at Carla Abellana, sa ilalim ng direksiyon ni Maryo J. de los Reyes.
Sa story conference ng Rosalinda noon, hinintay ang pagdating sana ng kapatid ni Ara Mina na si Cristine Reyes dahil balitang ito ang kanyang pagbabalik sa GMA-7 pagkatapos niyang lumipat sa ABS-CBN last year. Hindi dumating ang dating Kapuso star dahil may problema raw ito sa naiwang kontrata sa ABS-CBN. Ngunit hindi pa rin nag-announce ang GMA-7 kung sino ang gaganap na Fedra sakaling magkaayos pa rin ang Kapuso network at ang kampo ni Cristine, na ngayon ay nasa pangangalaga ng Viva Artist Agency ni Ms. Veronique del Rosario-Corpus.
Ayon sa balita, "option to match" daw at hindi "option to renew" ang naging hadlang ng pagbabalik-Kapuso ni Cristine, na naging vocal na sa pagsabing kahit kontrabida role, tatanggapin niya ang alok ng GMA-7 makaalis lang sa ABS-CBN. Ang "option to match" ay isang clause kung saan puwedeng tapatan ng ABS-CBN ang offer ng GMA at mananatili siyang Kapamilya.
Taliwas naman ito sa kuwentong nasagap ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) mula mismo sa bakuran ng ABS-CBN. Ayaw lang magpangalan ng kausap namin ngunit sinisigurado nitong wala na raw talagang kontrata si Cristine sa Kapamilya network at hindi na sila naghahabol sa service nito. Sa isip na lang ng nakausap namin, baka naman daw ayaw lang talagang tanggapin ng young actress ang role sa Rosalinda dahil kontrabida ito. Nagbida na raw kasi si Cristine sa Eva Fonda sa bakuran ng ABS-CBN.
Samantala, excited at kabado si Katrina sa kanyang pagbabalik sa harap ng camera.
