Matapos ibalita dito sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ang iba't ibang pagkakataon na nakitang magkasama sina John Lloyd Cruz at Ruffa Gutierrez sa Pilipinas at sa Estados Unidos, may mga PEPsters na nagpatotoo na nakita nga nilang magkasama ang dalawa.
Isa na rito ang PEPster na may username na ICUM2U. Ayon sa kanya, "wala kasing bantay c Rufing kaya solo silang mag bonding dito sa America." Napag-alaman ng PEP na ang naturang PEPster na ito ay naka-base sa North America.
Bukod pa rito, isa pang PEPster ang nagbigay ng litrato na nakuhaan noong June 22 sa labas ng SLS Hotel sa Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California. Formerly known as the Le Meridien Beverly Hills, ang SLS Hotel ay matatagpuan sa 465 South La Cienega Boulevard.
Ayon naman sa isang PEP source, ang SLS Hotel ay isang Philippe Starck-designed boutique hotel sa isang secluded na lugar sa Beverly Hills, pero nasa main road pa rin. Ayon rin sa website na www.perfectescapes.com, ang cost ng pag-check in sa 297-room hotel na ito ay simula $474 (PhP22,800) pataas. Bahagi ng Starwood chain of hotels, ang SLS ay binuksan lang mga apat na buwan ang nakararaan.
Sa naturang larawan, nakatalikod ang isang lalake, na naka-blue na T-shirt at may baseball cap, may backpack, at hila-hila ang isang luggage na may gulong. Samantala, ang babae naman ay nakasuot ng asymmetrical dress at gladiator sandals, at may sukbit na malaking shoulder bag.
Ayon sa source ng PEP, ang mga ito ay sina Ruffa at John Lloyd. Nakita raw niyang bumaba ang dalawa mula sa isang black limousine bago sila pumasok sa SLS Hotel. Doon sila nakuhanan ng litrato.
