"Walang bugbugang nangyari, wala silang sinasaktan," defends Darwin Hernandez, manager of local band Sandwhich, about the alleged assault of vocalist Raymund Marasigan on a graphic artist named Eric Encinares (inset) during the 2009 FHM's Sexiest Women party last night, July 9, at the World Trade Center.

It was reported earlier today, July 10, by Emil Sumangil of GMA News that rock group Sandwich vocalist Raimund Marasigan allegedly mauled a graphic artist during the 2009 FHM Sexiest Party held last night, July 9, at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. Sandwich was one of the three featured local bands at the event's pre-show, along with Itchyworms and Kamikazee.
The complainant, identified as Eric Encinares, claimed that he was beaten up by Raimund and his bandmate, drummer Mike Dizon. According to Encinares, the incident happened after Marasigan poured water on them while the rock band was performing on stage.
Parang ano lang, siguro gusto niya [Raimund] lang palabasin, 'Kumakanta kami rito ayaw n'yo kaming pansinin,'" said Encinares on his interview with GMA News.
Encinares, who is also a member of a local band called Sleepyheads, added that after the band's performance, "Nakaharap ako sa stage, 'tapos may biglang bumalya sa likod ko.
"WALANG NANGYARING BUGBUGAN." In a separate interview with PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Sandwich's manager Darwin Hernandez of Soupstar Entertainment said that there's no truth to Encinares's claims.
"Walang nangyaring bugbugan," he insisted.
But is it true that Raymund's group confronted Encinares at the venue?
May binugbog bang ganun?" asked the band's manager.
Hernandez said that Raimund and the Sandwich are currently in Dumaguete for a show, but the group wants to talk to Encinares and clear this "misunderstanding."
Bakit ganyan?'" he said.
Hernandez is also hoping that this issue would be settled as soon as both camps talk to each other.
